River House with Pizzazz on the Upper Chattahoochee River
This three-bedroom, two-bath chalet is located on over five and a half acres of property with 650 feet of frontage on the Upper Chattahoochee River. Located about 9 miles south of Helen in the Sautee Nacoochee Valley, this retreat is well-appointed with 3 decks at the house, a hot tub, grill, and tubes.
Just 90 miles from Downtown Atlanta, this tranquil setting is seemingly light-years away. If you can't take a hint, there is a DSL internet connection, satellite TV, and CD players, BBQ Grill, hot tub, and tubes. The bedrooms are on three different levels, with separate living areas on each floor. The house can easily accommodate three couples or a large family. This open loft-like floor plan is not suitable for children under the age of 5.
There are good restaurants in the nearby Saute Nachoochee Valley, Helen and Clarksville. Regular and Gourmet Grocery stores are about 9 miles away and a convenience store is within minutes. We like to cook, and the kitchen will allow you to prepare your favorite meals. You can then dine in at a comfortable table that will seat 6, or on an outside deck amidst the trees.
There is a treehouse-like feeling from the surrounding woods, and the river is accessible by an easily travelled path. Formerly owned by local folk artists, the house offers an eclectic mix of folk art and artifacts you will enjoy perusing and contemplating.
You'll love this spot on the river and the house! Come see what others rave about!

The house was great. Layout of the house is very unique (the Pizzazz part), goes with the surrounding topography well. Very comfortable, well stocked. Our kids, 11 and 15 loved the art, books, game, and cd collections.
Our stay was great! Perfect, quiet weekend getaway. Beautiful cabin close to nearby towns and activities, but far enough out to avoid the crowds. The owner is super responsive and helpful!
The property was very well stocked with everything you need! Great location to Helen and Dahlonega. We also really enjoyed all the games that were available. The property manager was easy to communicate with as well.
Very cool house with three floors - each one had a bedroom and living area. The kids loved playing in the woods and river and we enjoyed the hot tub and available board games. The host was fantastic and our kids are already asking to go back!
This cabin was absolutely amazing! It was spacious, clean, and had incredible river access. Each room is on its own floor with a private living space, which made it perfect for our group. The property manager was fantastic—super helpful and responsive to all our needs. We’re already planning to come back in the summertime! Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.
Spent the weekend in the mountains enjoying the fall colors and Oktoberfest in Helen, GA. The house was conveniently located, very private and quirky in a good way.
Nice property in good location. Needs a little TLC to outside deck area. Short walk to the river. Hot tub was amazing. Could not get the TV by kitchen table to work or the one in main bedroom. Overall very nice stay.
Fully equipped Cabin lots of interactive games we even did a puzzle as a family.
The river is a nice place to disconnect and listen to the sounds of nature we even had an encounter with deers in the front yard. Helen is a short 20 minute ride ( a most see super nice town).
The house and location were great. House was just as pictured. The house had a very musty odor, especially in the bottom level. It seems that the cleaners only did surface cleaning as the floors around the walls did not appear to be swept or mopped in a very long time. One of the beds did not have sheets on it and there was only 1 wash cloth in the entire house (there were 4 of us). We enjoyed our stay, especially seeing the deer throughout our stay. I would stay here again in hopes that the cleaners did a full house clean before we visit again.
Let’s 1st start by saying amazing, simply amazing
This cabin is 3 story, each floor has its own living room / tv room, this place is huge.
Don’t worry about scheduling a hike at the falls, There’s some amazing wood that walks along the waters edge that seems to go forever.
We saw a deer in the blueberry orchard.
We give it a 10 out of 10.
The layout of the house is unforgettable. Very Quirky but in a good way. Everything i mean everything was furnished. The Decks need to be updated. The wood was soft and bendable.
Had a wonderful stay at this cute, eccentric, mountain home.
Loved that everywhere you looked you saw something new each time.
We got to see a very strange looking deer which was a sight.
Believe the reviews that this house is not meant for kids, disabled, fat, or elderly.
The walk to the river/ fire pit was 3 minute walk and pretty steep. That was a surprise.
Had a great time and got plenty of exercise going up all the stairs and that steep mountain back up to the house.
Everywhere was comfortable and inviting. Would recommend
Gorgeous property, awesome artwork throughout this unique house. Very private property with riverfront access. We had an amazing stay full of laughter and fun!
Good communication with host. Clear instructions. The house had everything we needed... functional kitchen, comfy bed, counter and closet space in the bathroom, lots of relaxed seating, a charming river landing, plenty of clean towels, interesting cd collection and a cd player, trail maps and local interest literature. It's so quiet and private that you forget there are other houses nearby. The Road is paved all the way to the driveway. We could stay here again!

We didn’t stay due to issues with listing versus what we found when we arrived.
It was so quiet & secluded. The cabin was absolutely adorable, very warm & inviting. Extremely spacious & a ton of amenities that we didn't even think about. Would definitely stay again, the owner was so nice & pleasure to rent from!! If you need peace, quiet & a good secluded place to rest your mind. Rent this property, you won't regret it!!!
