It feels as though it was built from the forest itself — every timber, porch post, and antique detail breathing the quiet soul of the surrounding woods. The views of the Appalachian foothills are stunning, and the atmosphere is calm in a way you almost forget exists anymore.The porch is a dream — especially the cushioned wooden swing overlooking the pond. It became our favorite reading spot. Down by the water, there’s a cozy fire pit where my kids and I made s’mores under the stars. The interior is just as special: a charming spiral staircase, worn wood in all the right ways, eclectic Adirondack-style decor, and vintage touches (like metal tins and a coo coo clock) that give it a warm, nostalgic feel.Every nook invites relaxation — whether you're enjoying morning coffee on the porch or curling into a deep couch after sunset. The silence of the surrounding woods is unforgettable. "This property has so much to do, you don't need to leave. We were there in August for 3 days. We were a family of 12 people. The kitchen was amazing with all the amenities you could imagine, and if you need anything, there is a Tops market about a mile away. We used the swimming pool, ping pong, air hockey, gas grill, fire pit, horse shoes, frisbee golf. So much to do. Spent a couple hours at Holiday valley, which is about a 5 minute drive. Also went to Griffis sculpture park. Great place to hike and see sculptures."
