"This property is in need of serious updating. The hallways have a cloying, awful smell like there is carpet freshener or something being used to cover a worse smell. It is horrible. Luckily once in the rooms you do not smell it too badly. We stayed here 17 years ago and can say the rooms have not been updated since. Great location and freeway access both North and South along the coast. That’s the best thing I can say about this property."

"This hotel was one that’s off the beaten path. It doesn’t follow the norms of regular high-end hotels or less quality motels. It is almost like a beautiful peaceful escape from the norm. My room was incredible. I loved it. It felt like I was in another country or on a grand vacation it was peaceful quiet, and that’s just the type of environment you want to be in if your visiting just to have a relaxing vacation or here to work and would like a sanctuary if you’re looking for that, this is a five star, relaxing, quiet hotel it’s truly a gem and one of a kind."
