Lovely historical building over all clean and comfortable. Loved the food and bar on premise.Parking and easy walk to town a very fun place to visit. Definitely will return and recommend to others
Room, service, food and bar were exceptional. Brian and his team at the Deland Cocktail Company were not only kind, funny and interesting, they were excellent at their jobs.
I will definitely stay at the Deland Hotel again.
The property is very well kept and very spacious. The restaurant had very good food, loved the breakfast and lunch. The bar is historical and charming. The hospitality was amazing... they are family owned and operated and care about their guests. I would stay again. 5 stars.
Nice clean hotel. Good nostalgia being an old house, gave the since of Grandma's house. AC worked fine, bed was very comfy!

On site parking, loved the 1920s vibe. Bar was WONDERFUL. Clean room. Not for you if you are looking for upscale and amenities. If you want character and history, this is the place. We will be back.

Nice bar and restaurant; Room SUCKED. Booked an overnight stay based on photos of the hotel and rooms, but there was alot to be desired once we got there. We expected a quaint, quirky hotel but the room was extremely disapponting!
Check in was easy, clerk was friendly and helpful, and the lobby and bar areas were super nice. The bar was cozy and offered an eclectic variety of liquors, and the smash burger was delicious!
The furniture in the room was nice enough, and what you'd expect in a vintage hotel. What I didn't expect was peeling paint, cracked walls, and just general disrepair. There's a huge difference between something being vintage and just flat-out neglected. There is no reason there should be open cracks and paint peeling off large portions of the walls of a $200/night room. The claw foot tub has mismatched blocks of wood under each foot to level it- understandable that it needs leveling, but c'mon...make it look nice and neat. True to the age of the hotel the windows are all single panel (and painted shut), and the hotel is on a busy street, resulting in a sleepless night. You could hear every single car that drove by all night long. And our room was right over the bar so we could hear bar patrons below until 11ish. Very LOUD room. Wish we had been informed of this and could've asked for a different room.
Would definitely go back to the bar and restaurant again, but would never stay there overnight again.
Room #1...shouldn't be a guest room...it should be used for storage or an office. The room we were assigned to was on the ground floor across the tiny lobby from a bar which closed at 11pm.. but bar staff were talking and working past midnight. You can hear everything. Worst night of sleep in a long time. I think the family who owns it is Military, so I thank them for their service...the location has a TON of potential...I wish them luck.. but if you need a good nights rest...do not stay in Room 1.
A neat and historic place to stay in the non-descript town of DeLand, with comfy beds and a great value in terms of both the room and the restaurant below!
