Lots of room and plenty of bathrooms!
We stayed for a weekend with three couples. It is hard to find a place this nice with three full baths! Perfect for families or adults!

Just what we needed
A few of us parents stayed here while our kiddos were competing in an indoor band competition. It was a perfect location to the Nutter Center and University of Dayton. The house was clearly an old house that had been renovated, but when they renovated they left many of the original house features. The floors were super cool and original hardwood. The kitchen is HUGE and all the essentials were provided. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Dance competition weekend
Our two families of 4 stayed at the house to attend a dance competition at the Dayton convention center. It was conveniently located close to restaurants, breweries, and the convention center. The house smelled so clean and welcoming on arrival and was exactly as advertised. All drawers, cabinets, and closets were convenient labeled making finding anything a breeze. The kitchen was well-appointed and spacious. The beds were very comfortable with quality linens. The decorative touches were homey, yet stylish. We played football in the yard and sat on the lovely back deck in the evening. The checkout process was so easy. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Just around the corner to everything
My family and I stayed here over the weekend for the OHSAA Girls Basketball tournament. The house has such a great location that we were only minutes from food, coffee, grocery, etc. The bedrooms are large and private and each has its own bathroom. The kitchen was huge and contained everything we needed! WE really enjoyed the place and were grateful for the overall convenience with booking, checking in/out, and hospitality.

Perfect house for an imperfect situation
My family recently had the great pleasure of staying in this beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood. We were unfortunately traveling for my uncle's memorial service. It has been a tough time for us as my uncle passed suddenly and unexpectedly. Being able to share this house allowed me to be together with my parents, brother, and another uncle. We were able to share memories, cook together, laugh together and cry together. It felt very comfortable and like a home. The host was excellent. A binder was provided with suggested local restaurants and activities. The binder also included contact information and instructions and helpful references for the property. I was most impressed by the kitchen, which is labeled!!! We were easily able to find everything we needed. I'm sure many of you that are reading this review have had the frustration of trying to find a spatula, mixing bowl, or other basic kitchen utensil. Well, if you stay here, the drawers and cabinets are labeled! I have been fortunate to travel and stay in many different VRBOs and other rentals. This property is the best. Everything was very well done and organized and comfortable. The only improvement anyone in my family could suggest is a thermometer on the beautiful back patio that is visible from inside. My family loves to be warm and loves to be outside. Knowing the temperature in OH is important. If you are traveling to Dayton, you should consider staying in this beautiful property

Great short stay
This home is lovely and spacious. It's located conveniently between the University (Dayton) and downtown with many restaurant and bar options close by. The check-in/check-out instructions are clearly noted in a binder and pamphlets were available highlighting local sights. The host was very responsive and answered all my questions quickly. We've only stayed in hotels to visit our student but preferred staying here. This property was clean, large enough to easily accommodate our party of 6 with quite comfortable bedding. Ample space to spread out w/back deck and fenced in yard. We'd definitely stay again and wish we'd looked into it previously.

Beautiful Home in a Gentrified Neighborhood
A beautifully redone home in the Heart of South Park, one of Dayton's great gentrified neighborhoods. Well-appointed and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is very large for a house this size and was where we did a lot of our socializing. We had lots of fun sitting around the large island for hours.

Fantastic Thanksgiving gathering place
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Big Blue House. The home was perfect for our early Thanksgiving gathering with our family of 5 adults. The kitchen was perfectly equipped and spacious enough to allow for a great Thanksgiving meal and plenty of fellowship. All three bedrooms had very comfortable beds. The house was a perfect meeting place convenient to many Dayton attractions. We spent most days eating at the house but there are plenty of nearby dining options. Communication with the owner was great. Would definitely stay here again.

A Christmas Miracle
After traveling to visit our son we ran into issues with another booking. We found Big Blue and Mayra was able to get us in on short notice. This only thing better than the house was the host. She made us feel welcomed and saved our Christmas. The home is so well done. It is a 150 year old house that is well updated and immaculate. It is very convenient to downtown Dayton and just 15 minutes to Wright Patterson Air Force Base. We stayed during the polar vortex (windchill of -29) so the kitchen was a little chilly but the bedrooms and main family room stayed nice and cozy. This is the only place we want to stay when visiting Dayton from now on.

Spacious and very accommodating!
What a wonderful stay. The house itself is very decluttered and well organized, we love to cook and we had more than enough tools to do that and the kitchen is huge and awesome. Love the games for the kids upstairs and the bathrooms were huge! Beds comfortable and bathrooms clean. The only thing that wasn't great is the area isn't very walkable (but we didn't do much anyways) and the floors were pretty dirty, our socks and the kids knees turned dark brown (under couches, the rugs etc.) which made it tough with crawling babies. We found a broom (everything is so well labeled) but it needed a good vacuum and mopping. Otherwise FANTASTIC!

Beautiful house!
We had an excellent stay at the Blue House. It was immaculate, gorgeously decorated and updated and had plenty of room for all seven of us. Three single ladies and 2 couples were very comfortable and enjoyed all the nice amenities like coffee and snacks you provided. Street parking was easy even with the construction on the road nearby. The neighborhood was quiet at night and conveniently located between UD and Oregon District. Great place!

Great work meeting location!
I booked this VRBO to hold a informal sales meeting with fellow co-workers. The four of us that stayed at the house were all from out of state and we met with two other co-workers that lived in the area. What a great place to hold a very informal meeting. From the beautiful bedrooms to the very large and well supplied kitchen, large dining area and very comfortable living room area! We were able to spread out but enjoy our time together in comfort and very relaxed. The house sits in a great area within walking distance to a number of great restaurants and bars. My only regret was only have timing there for work and no personal time to really enjoy the entire area. We look forward to a return visit very soon!

First Class Accommodations
Beautifully remodeled, kitchen is well stocked, lovely backyard and porch, plenty of street parking, luxurious linens. The neighborhood is in the process of getting a makeover and appears a bit rough, but we had no problems and more of my family stayed a block away and also had no issues with security. We would love to stay again the next time we are in Dayton. Thanks!

Amazing house
The house is beautiful and so comfortable! It was great to have a first floor master for our elderly parents too! Perfect house for graduation weekend! If we still had students at Dayton we'd rent this house for parent's weekend every year!! Everything is labeled in the kitchen too which makes it so easy to find everything. We just loved it! The bathrooms and showers were really nice too and fully equipped with make up mirrors and blow dryers. We all had irons and ironing boards. Perfect house. Great backyard too.

Refuge in the City
Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautifully restored, immaculate home in South Park! It was convenient to the University of Dayton as well as to interesting restaurants. The owners were very responsive, attentive, and extremely accommodating! We highly recommend for families in need of space and proximity to UD and the downtown area.
