"Horrible service, gave our rooms away at 4pm without calling even though we paid ahead. People “live” there and have domestic altercations all night. The maintenance man assaulted a guest. Parking was horrible, we had to walk from the gas station. The first room we got already had a guest in it and we walked in on them. Management tried to give me but one get one free beer at the bar for a good review. BIG NOT AGAIN"

"I booked a room that had an accessible roll in shower because I’m in a wheelchair. The room they gave me was not accessible and the shower wasn’t accessible either. They told us they only had one room in the entire hotel that had a roll in shower and it was booked already. So they gave us a shower chair instead. What’s the point in picking your room when booking when you don’t even get that. Such an inconvenience especially because I’m in a wheelchair"

"Pennyrile State Park Resort was a fortuitous find while seeking accommodations when our son was in a basketball tournament in Madisonville. The room, main lodge and restaurant were extremely clean and comfortable. There are so many things to do, including 9 or 18 holes on the golf course and fishing or canoe/ kayak on the 56 acre lake. Other activities include mini-golf, basketball and tennis courts and an outdoor pool. Would have loved it if the coffee were stronger (suggestion: 1 cup Keurig makers in the rooms) but the food at the restaurant was very tasty with many choices. If we ever return to this area of Kentucky, we will happily stay here again!"

"Breakfast was good, room was spotless and we have 2 small dogs so we were in a doggie room. Bed slept great, shower pressure met needs. Price was not outrageous. Lots of grass around hotel to walk dogs. Will keep in mind for future travels on our frequent Kansas to NC and back trips."
