"Stunning location,with outdoor furniture on the patio overlooking the Loch Overall the hotel was tired looking, but the staff worked hard and were welcoming and friendly. Earlier reviews had criticised the service in the dining room which was not our experience, however a new chef started on our last day and breakfast was exceptionally slow,which maybe did not bode well!"

"Very comfortable, spacious and clean. Lovely scenic outlook over Davaar Island and over to Arran, which changes by the hour.Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Plenty of games, books etc for when the weather isn't playing ball. Good off-road parking spaces for 2 cars, (3 at a push)Nice clear advice on using the hob, microwave, washing machine etc, as well as comprehensive suggestions for places to visit and where to eat.Overall we really enjoyed our few days in the cottage."

"The property was clean,, quaint, and charming. The restaurant was delicious! I had dinner and breakfast the next morning. It was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had or should I say that I’ve had in Scotland so far. The staff was amazing! Carolyn went above, beyond and out of her way to make sure I was well taken care of, and I greatly appreciate it. The Royal Hotel is lucky to have her."

"The hotel was nice. The food at the Brassels was better than the Cruzerie (?). The hotel was pet friendly. The rooms were a great size and comfortable. Unfortunately, we couldn't do much as you have to book everything in advance. We were not aware that you had to plan ahead."

"We stayed here for three days and it was spectacular! The only negative is the house is so beautiful you never want to leave it to explore. We made a grocery stop at the Co-op when arriving in Brodick for a few tidbits and enjoyed our tea and biscuits each day in the beautiful garden. We took a lovely drive each day and explored areas of the isle and enjoyed meals at several different restaurants. Our favorite was the Corrie Hotel. We hiked Goatfell and rewarded ourselves with brews and burgers at the end at the Wineport. Check-in was simple and the home has every comfort and amenity you could possibly need. This home made our visit to Arran truly magical."
