Cute house but run down
Beds so hard we slept on couches. Door to ocean view deck stuck so can't access it from living room. Pots and pans old and disgusting. House has something making a loud vibrating noise off and on. On busy street with loud traffic noise. Can see a speck of ocean between 2 houses but most of the "fantastic view" is of all the houses surrounding this one and the street it is on. If you still want to rent it here are directions to the beach since none were provided and there are no signs, so we just had to wander around until we found it: go right out of the driveway and then left on the first street (not court) that you come to. It dead ends at beach access.

Nice Beach House
This house was easy to find because of its unique structure. We wish the beach access had been more clear. We couldn’t walk to the public beach and it was hard to find a nearby point where we could enter. It was not a 2 minute walk maybe a 2 minute drive. The main bed was uncomfortable and needed a new mattress. There were lots of stairs which might be challenging for older and younger guests. The kitchen had everything we needed and the house was clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Tv wasn't working. We had to miss the wrestling match first time in 15 years. Tried to get a hold of host. No response. The bed upstairs was very uncomfortable. Can't wait to get back home and get in my own bed. Other than that, it was an overall comfortable stay. It was an adorable house.

House was exactly as expected. It is an older home with older home issues. Furniture was very nice and comfortable, beds left a little bit to be desired.. the only big issue I had was when the code would not let us into the house and it took 15 minutes just to get in touch with someone( automated), I feel like I should have had a contact person on the island, not an automated answering service. Overall, we had a nice trip celebrating my dads 81st birthday, just wish it hadn’t been so cold…..would stay again if we are ever in the need of a home on Dauphin Island.. it’s a WONDERFUL place to be.

Clean and roomy
This is a good place. Beautiful view. Very clean and roomy. We had 6 adults and baby and never felt crowded. Stairs can be issue with infants. Vacasa does a great job gett Back to you with issues

Great Location but Property could use repairs.
The location was great and it was fairly spacious but needed repairs to the floor which was slanted and a tripping hazard. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

Most all of the cookin utensils and coffemaker were outdated or not workin and much of the interior needs updating, especially the floor. I will not return to this location due to the lack of accommodations. After driving over 20hrs to arrive to this place, pay this much and not have expectations met was a disappointment for me and my family.

Location was great, looks like a dog chewed up the place
Location was great. Very easy to find. There was a strong smell of dog on the furniture and chewed on blinds. I am not sure if the holes in the comforter was due to a dog. There was something going on with the flooring (separated tiles) and the front door (despite having MANY lock) only had one bolt that worked. Definitely needed cleaned and dusted. If you have dog or dust allergies, skip this house. If you do book, I would bring your own bedding, beach towels, hair dryer and a coffee maker (I could not get the water well clean on the coffee maker).

Pots pans dishes DIRTY. Mbdr. TV has ZERO cables, just TV. Place needs TLC- paint fixtures doorknob
Cont'd- shower curtains/ liners. Porch doors locking mechanism not very secure. Same with doors leading to mbdrm from deck. Binder on counter could be replaced. Very dirty to even review. All cookware utensils needs cleaning had residue on.them. pots pans could be replaced. Paper products were the cheapest you've ever used! Paper towels and TP.

Quiet and relaxing stay
My sister, our friend, and myself stayed in this very cute house. We found the home to be very clean and comfortable. The house has three decks to spend time outside which was great for us as we like to spend lots of time outside. The public beach access is close and a very cute park is about a block away. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook there two meals per day and sampled many of the local restaurants that are very close by. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, this house will be perfect for you!

The laid back ambience of the island was wonderful. We would definitily go back.
The property was very nice. Enjoyed sitting on the deck, while enjoying the cool evening breeze. It was clean and everything in order. We were very impressed with the charming cabin.

Overall, the property was nice. There were a few problems, could never get any of the tv’s to work, the front deck could be stained and weatherproofed, the windows could be cleaned, the sofas and dining chairs are stained and just look dingy. The other couple that was staying with complained about one of the downstairs mattress was uncomfortable and they changed to the other downstairs bedroom and said it was comfortable. The location is good, pretty much central to everything.

Unique home
Very cute pet friendly home that was easily recognizable when walking and driving. A short walk of maybe .2 or .3 to the beach. Wifi and cable worked well. Some noises could be heard d with either heater or fan at times. We enjoyed the beach and Skinners fresh seafood. You will not get check-in details until 8 am on arrival date. Appreciate Vacasa allowing pets so he could enjoy our vacation too.

Slightly Disappointed
The property was okay overall. It is a little older house, with the same furniture in the pictures that need to be cleaned or replaced. The dining room tables need to be recovered or replaced. VERY disappointed when we got into bed the first night, there was sand in all three beds. This tells me that the beds were NOT washed. During these Covid times this is not acceptable. I did call and state my concerns, no one called me back to apologize.

Lovely visit, exactly as promised
One thing I love when renting vacation spots is — NO SURPRISES — and this place delivered! Very clean. The virtual tour was completely accurate. Access was not an issue. Everything was just as expected! We remote worked/schooled here for a change of scenery and we were pleasantly surprised with the internet speed - it handled 2 secondary students, a college student, and work from home just fine — though we were not all streaming 100% at the same time all the time. The island is wonderful, and our two teen boys - 14 and 17 loved Fort Morgan and Fort Gaines. It’s like they were 6 and 9 again! Highly recommend the taco place in town - delicious! If you’re looking for a remote place with lots of sun, this is it.

Charming little house
I thought the property was charming and loved how you could see both sides of the island from it. Would have loved more outdoor seating as most of the outdoor chairs were broken but we took some outside. We had some issues with getting in with the code, and some issues getting in touch with the management company - the text response did not work nor did the app. We didn't have WIFI all week which was advertised as a selling point. Once we got in touch with management they were super nice and helpful but still unable to repair the WIFI issue. The house was great though and location was great too!

I stayed at this beautiful home on Jan. 18-20, 2020 and the place is absolutely gorgeous!! The description and all of the photos are accurate. It was spotless and the decor was lovely. The management company, Vacasa, is terrific. They were responsive within moments with any questions I had. I will definitely return. Next time it will be during the summer!
