Pet Friendly Tranquil Cottage with Fire-Pit and Seasonal Hot Tub Sept-March

Charming beach cottage located in the heart of Dauphin Island. Look no further if you're searching for a place to go off the grid while experiencing small town community vibes. This location is a short bike ride or walk to see one-of-a-kind views in the sunset capital of Alabama. The spacious driveway welcomes multiple vehicles and boats less than three miles from boat ramp. Unwind and relax in this quaint community with gorgeous white sandy beaches and fresh Gulf seafood.

The Agape Cottage is located at the end of a quiet, family-friendly street. It is a two story open concept home with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The spacious master suite upstairs covers the entire second story! Fully stocked kitchen and a gas grill located on screened in back porch. Enjoy the large front and back porches that provide outdoor living space to experience the island's unique sounds and beautiful views. Enjoy the relaxing Hot tub that is available for guests September-March.

There are sofa beds located in the family room and master suite. A queen air mattress is also included.

Three adult cruisers are at your disposal, but additional bicycle rentals are less than a mile away. Basketball goal, games, puzzles, books, chalk, and toys are included for family fun! Enjoy the cozy fire-pit for cool fall/winter evenings. Relax on front or back porch, or get adventurous and check out what the island has to offer: beaches, the Alabama Aquarium, Mobile Bay ferry, bird sanctuaries, shops, historic Fort Gaines, restaurants, bike paths, art galleries, public library or public park with a playground and skate park.

Pets (dogs and cats only) are considered with a $100 one time fee. There is a maximum of two pets, no larger than 75 pounds each. Guests must clean up after their pets and keep them on a leash when outdoors. There is a small enclosed back yard for pets without a leash. If pets are left inside of house without owner, they must be placed in a crate. If bringing pets, please contact for details about pet policy and confirmation. Guests that bring pets without notification will result in a $300 fee.

Very nice, cute property.

This is a very nice beachy cottage. It’s nicely decorated, has lots of room and is clean and well appointed. Dauphin Island is awesome. I recommend a visit.

Beautiful, secluded cottage for a perfect getaway

We just returned from our stay at the Agape Cottage and absolutely loved our stay. The cottage is very cozy, well-appointed and has a wonderful screened-in back porch. The location is quiet and secluded, which is perfect for us. Jessica is an awesome hostess responding to any questions/concerns very quickly, as well as providing great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. So happy we booked the cottage and we will definitely stay here again! We highly recommend this lovely house.

Beautiful house

We loved the accommodations and all the amenities. Beds were comfortable and the kids loved the 3story bunk bed. This was our first visit to Dauphin Island will definitely go again and would absolutely rent the agape cottage again.

Wonderful cozy cottage for family getaway

The cottage was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. It came with a well-equipped kitchen, and had a washer and dryer too. We were there with our children and grandchildren and we were very comfortable. The upstairs master bedroom and bathroom are roomy and luxurious with a comfortable king-sized bed. It rained a couple of days and we were very comfortable and dry inside with plenty of space and things to do. We can highly recommend this place.

Agape cottage

The home is beautiful and in a perfect location! It was very quiet but still close to the beaches and shopping. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. Drinking a cup of coffee on the screened in porch every morning was a great way to start the day. We would definitely come back!

Fall break at the beach

This house was at the end of a quiet street, perfect for biking in the neighborhood or to the Lighthouse bakery. We had fun cooking and relaxing in the large back porch, and also exploring different beaches on this small sweet island. Our group of 10 spanned ages 1-76 and the house was perfect, comfy and very pleasant.

Exactly what we needed

I can't love this enough. We didn't need walking access to the beach or a boat launch. We needed quiet time to relax and refresh ourselves, which is exactly what we got at The Agape Cottage. Jessica has thought of everything you could need. It's peaceful and welcoming. We will absolutely be back!

Peace and relaxation

Dauphin Island was a great place for 2 seniors who needed a break. Agape Cottage was the perfect place. Very inviting and comfortable, close to just about everything. The beds were super comfortable and the real gem of this was our host Jessica. She made sure we had everything we needed and we got to meet her. She is awesome. We will go back!

The place was in great safe area. Was just as pictured. Comfortable to stay in. Very responsive and friendly host. The grill needs to be cleaned. Furniture in living room not really comfortable and could be steam cleaned. Would stay again.

Easter Getaway

We hosted Easter dinner at the Agape Cottage and everything was great. We had plenty of seating for our large family. We brought 3 bikes and the 5 extra bikes made it so the whole family could go for a ride! Jessica was really responsive with any questions we had. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful!!! Home Away From Home!!

This home is so beautiful!!!! It just brings such a calmness to you as you enter. The details were just so aesthetically pleasing and breathe so much life! To the choice of books, to the swing on the porch, to the 3 book beds my kids thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you thank you thank you!!! Awesome Stay

My family had a wonderful time during our stay at Agape Cottage. There was plenty of space and beds for us all. Everything was clean and we were just 10 minutes from all of the beaches. The owner, Jessica was so helpful. She checked on us to make sure we had all we need and offered to send us a kitchen item that was missing from the kitchen. She was so kind and attentive to us. We would absolutely go back and stay again!

Absolutely Perfect

My granddaughters and I stayed and had an amazing time . Jessica was a super hostess and responded immediately to any question I had. The home is beautiful and the location is great. Bride’s and Bridesmaids’ Dream!

Absolutely perfect! My daughter (the bride) and her 3 bridesmaids all stayed with my mother and me the night before the ceremony. The ladies took over the upstairs to get ready for the wedding. They had plenty of room, counter space and mirrors to get even more beautiful than they already are. The back porch was a popular place with all of us, also. Will highly recommend this lovely cottage!

Cozy, quiet, and wonderful

We loved this location!!! It is in a quiet area, very clean and comfortable!!! The host Jessica was available if we needed anything (which we didn’t because she had everything already taken care of)! The home is beautiful and welcoming, the bed was super comfortable, plenty of space in the living room, kitchen is large, large enclosed back porch with a tv and grill, small fully fenced area for pets, and bicycles on the front porch. There is plenty of parking also and it is just a short drive to the boat ramp and ferry! Thank you so much Jessica for such a beautiful and wonderful place to stay and we look forward to coming back in the near future!!!

Beach getaway with a family of 6

We absolutely loved staying at the cottage. Everything was tidy and ready for our arrival. Our host was amazing and communicated very well. I was nervous this being our 1st timre using VRBO. Jessica completely put me at ease. We have 2 seven year olds a one year old and a 18 year old. There was more than enough room for all of us. It was very comfortable. Everything was very close in town. I highly recommend Jessica as the host as well as the property. We will return. We had a wonderful stay!!!!!!

Peaceful and relaxing

We had an amazing time with our 2 schnauzers in this beautiful home! The screened in huge back porch was our favorite place to hang out. It is so peaceful and quiet. The fenced in little yard was perfect for the dogs, so nice not to have to leash them up to go potty, they enjoyed the porch as well with the floor to ceiling screens they were able to just sit, or lay and watch things. Jessica was amazing as well, wish we could give her 10 stars! Any questions we had she replied very quickly. Everything is so close to the house that you want to do, we enjoyed not actually being on the beach. Book this place, we promise you will love it!! We will be back!

Beautiful home on a very quiet street

My husband and I stayed from 4/28-5/2, and had a fantastic time. The house is exactly as described, and looks just like the pictures. This was our first time to the island, and the Jessica our host gave us so much information about the island, that I really didn’t have to plan our days. The home is located at the end of a dead end street, which is very quiet. Jessica was very knowledgeable, and able to answer all my questions. We didn’t use the grill, but it is nice to have as an option to cook. I absolutely loved the screened in back porch with a tv and ceiling fans. Loved relaxing and rocking in the rocking chairs. We have a St Bernard mix who weighs 165lbs, and Jessica didn’t mind having our big guy as a house guest in her home. Having a big dog can make travel hard because not all place accept a dog his size. The master bedroom bed was so comfortable. The little touches like having soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dishwasher detergent was a nice touch. Plus all the products smelled good. The home does have a small fenced in yard. It was nice to be able to let the dogs out and not worry about them getting out. We will definitely be staying again.
