The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. This hillside house was very comfortable, featured a lovely terrace surrounded by grapevines. Situated in the small country village of Sauerthal if felt as though our visit brought the most excitement the townsfolk had seen in ages. This is a perfect location for visiting Rhineland if you want a quiet, rustic, authentic experience."
