Summary:
Walworth Castle Cottage sits within the grounds of the Walworth Castle Estate, in the quaint village of Walworth, County Durham. Sleeping up to 4 guests (and up to 2 well behaved dogs), this delightful cottage complete with its own hot tub and 2 parking spaces, is nestled in the 18 acres of the Castle grounds.
The Space:
All on one level, Walworth Castle Cottage has an open-plan layout, creating a sociable atmosphere for your stay. As you enter into the main living space you will find a cosy sitting area with sofas and TV; a dining area which is also the perfect spot to gather and play a board game; and the bright and modern kitchen area which has everything you need for a self-catering break, including electric hob and oven, fridge and dishwasher.
There are 2 comfortable bedrooms in the Cottage, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds; and a family bathroom comprising a bath with shower over, WC and basin. A highchair and travel cot can also be provided on request.
To keep your party entertained, there are a selection DVDs, games and books for you to enjoy whilst staying at the Cottage, and for the ultimate in relaxation, the Cottage has it's own hot tub located on the enclosed rear patio - the perfect way to wind down after a day exploring!
Whilst staying at the cottage, why not pop across to the Hotel to enjoy an afternoon tea, a drink at the bar, or even treat yourself to a meal at the restaurant if you fancy a night off from cooking!

Walworth Castle dates from the 12th Century and is nestled in scenic countryside around 5 miles northwest of Darlington.
Darlington is the closest major town to Walworth Castle, and is best known for its railway heritage, historic architecture and vibrant market-town feel. You will find a broad range of shops and restaurants to enjoy, as well as the Darlington Railway Centre and Museum.
Lovers of the great outdoors will be right at home, with plenty of walking trails taking you through woodlands, hills and open countryside right on your doorstep; or a short drive away you can find yourself in the North Pennines AONB, where you will find more challenging hikes and dramatic scenery.
