Barforth Hall Parlour is a stone-built cottage situated in a rural location, one mile from the village of Gainford and within reach of Barnard Castle. This ground floor cottage sleeps two people and has studio accommodation with a king-size double bed and a sitting area, a shower room and a kitchen. The cottage also has off road parking and a patio area. With many walking and cycling routes in the area, as well as plenty of attractions to enjoy, Barforth Hall Parlour makes an excellent base for a romantic retreat.

The pretty Teesdale village of Gainford is situated on the River Tees at the boundary with Yorkshire. The village offers a scattering of Georgian houses set on an unspoilt village green, as well as a Post Office, butcher/greengrocer/bakery, newsagents/general store, fish and chip shop and two pubs.
