"My husband & I wanted a relaxing spot to stay for our first trip "up north." This property was perfect for us! It's centrally located - within 30 minutes of Petosky, Charlevoix, Boyne Mountain - in charming Boyne City, that's a fun & welcoming town with a beautiful lake front, shops/restaurants/activities, but fewer crowds. The house itself is as pictured - no surprises. We appreciated the onsite parking and the privacy fence around the outdoor space. The house was very clean and had a large, well-stocked kitchen, nice-sized bathrooms that were also thoughtfully stocked, and a laundry room. Bedrooms had ample space and storage, and the bed in our room was very comfortable. We initially questioned whether this home would have too much space for just the two of us, but we found that it felt cozy and "just right" during our 8-day stay. I think families will find this house 'lives large,' and would enjoy all the thoughtfully planned spaces, as well. Great place, friendly owners, quiet neighborhood, fun town! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"Great lake views, fairly easy access to water across the street, nice dock to relax on. Overall we had a good time. Every room had a fan which was a necessity because this property does not have AC. Most of the year it probably isn't necessary but if you are going in the summer you might want to check the forecast. We had very hot and humid weather so would have loved some AC. The water was beautiful though and we made full use of it. There are a few areas that could be spruced up. The deck and sliding door and a few windows could be updated. Still, under the right circumstances I would come again. The lake was worth it!"

Stay & Play - Walk to lake & short drive to slopes

"What an awesome spot! Short walk to Avalanche Park, and a short drive (or medium walk) into town. We opted to walk into town to watch the 4th of July fireworks and everyone but my five year old made it without whining. The kids loved the game room and basically stayed in there or in the back yard the whole time we were at the house. Incredible amount of storage space for food, great cookware, and backyard fire pit was super fun too. Overall a super cool house in a really nice and quiet spot in Boyne. Would definitely go back again."

"Hosts were very responsive and accommodating, which made our trip easier. I don’t want to sound too picky, but the house needs to be cleaned a little more thoroughly, some repairs done and the basement was smelling a bit musty.We moved one of the chairs and there were a lot of dead bugs under it. It wasn’t the mayflies that just hatched either. Basement seemed to have a humidity problem. There was a dehumidifier down there, but it didn’t seem to be keeping up. We were only staying for two nights, so we just powered through. A longer trip probably would have caused an issue. Deck was a cool spot to hang out on, but looks like it’s in need of repair. Opened a window in the master bedroom, that proceeded to derail, and I had to spend some time getting the roller back on to get it to close. Screens in the basement bedroom were broken, so no opening that sliding door either. Again, really not trying to sound picky, but when everything stacks up, it kind of puts a damper on everything."
