We enjoyed a lovely stay at the foothills of the Smoky’s with lake fun! Close for awesome Motorcycle rides and gorgeous lake to cool off and play!

We rented this house to be close to the lake for the guys in the family. We were able to park a boat trailer and have plenty of parking for other cars. The kids enjoyed the bunk room and game room. The water is lowered in the winter months and we would love to stay again in the summer when the water is up and use the paddle board and kayaks! Home was nice and clean.

We loved the privacy and balcony. Private boat was great! Loved the kayaks and Kitchen amenities. Definitely stay again if you could address the insects that are coming into the downstairs. Also, the balconies need cleaned. Other than that, it was the perfect vacation

Absolutely everything was top notch. The house, the setting, the customer service, the bonfires and firefly filled nights. The house was immaculate with extra bedding and blankets to accommodate even me, a person that gets cold at 76 degrees. The check in and check out were easy and stress free. The place is beautiful, quiet and private, but restaurants, stores and entertainment is nearby.

This was the nicest STR home we ever stayed in! The house was clean, fully stocked, and beautiful. Our kids loved the kayaks, paddle board, jumping off the dock, and the other water toys. All the movies and board games downstairs was a nice surprise and we had a great time playing ping pong. Also, we loved the lake! Normally, we prefer the ocean to lake, but this lake was so clean and clear. There was so much to do, we can’t wait to come back!

We visited this location for Spring Break the last week of March. We have stayed on Douglas Lake numerous times and I have never given a bad review for any property I've stayed at, but unfortunately I have to share that our experience here was not great. The exterior of the house was very dirty. The outdoor furniture and cushions were so dirty we couldn't sit on them. None of the deck lights worked. The grill literally had a giant animal nest inside and was unusable. None of the TVs in the house would connect to the internet and did not work the entire time we were there. I contacted the property manager several times with no follow up on the issue. They did nothing to try to fix the situation. We did not want to spend time downstairs so we tried to bring the DVD player to the main floor be able to watch a movie in the evening, but it was not compatible with the TV. The interior was very basic. There are only the bare necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Nothing extra to make your stay easy. plan to bring everything you will need The games that are in the description were missing pieces and old and tattered. We did enjoy playing ping-pong in the game room. Overall, I was very disappointed. However, with a little extra TLC and attention to detail, it could be a really great place.

We really enjoyed having a place right on the water along with our own dock. It allowed us to rent a boat for a few days and take it out whenever we liked. The house was also nice and spacious. But there are two problems to be aware of. First, the house is essentially an A-Frame with a basement, a main level, and a loft (master bedroom). Because of the architecture, it was impossible to keep the levels at the same temperature at the same time. Either the loft was comfortable (71 degrees) and the main level was freezing (64 degrees) or the main level was comfortable (71 degrees) and the loft was sweltering (79 degrees). Maybe the problem is less severe in other months, but it was definitely an inconvenience in August. Second, the dock was built on/over an incline. Rather than cut away at the dirt/rock underneath, they just built the dock on the slope. That made it very dangerous, especially when wet (which was often the case, since we were boating). My son hurt his leg, my daughter fell multiple times, and my wife was scared to go on it. So, if you plan to use the dock, be aware of how dangerous it is.
