"Small hotel with bar/restaurant on the street level. Comfortable bed. I don't think I'd want a room on the street side. It could be noisy. Excellent location on the main street in Oban. Convenient parking in the back of the hotel."

"Rooms were clean and fresh, however don’t be fooled by “en suite”. All rooms share a bathroom on each floor with a sink in the room. We presumed we had our own. Other than that, we had a nice overnight stay. "

"The Melfort house is an amazing property with beautiful furnishings, lovely gardens & a spectacular view of the sea surrounded by lambs & song birds. Matthew, the host, was very accommodating & prepared an outstanding 4 course dinner & made to order Scottish breakfast. Our visit there stands out as the best in Scotland!"

"A wonderful peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Be prepared for a lengthy but beautiful drive from Oban. Delightful garden to rest and reflect. Breakfast was great - the porridge was awesome. Jan and Daz were wonderful. They got up early to provide us with a take away breakfast as we needed to leave early. "

"The Inverardran was exactly as described, very easy to find, with parking. Less than 2mins from Crianlarich. Inside was cosy, comfortable and clean. John could not have been nicer. The room was small but perfect with everything I might need. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and homemade shortbread biscuits, tv, ensuite bathroom. Bathroom and bedroom warm and cosy, bed firm and comfy. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. I would be happy to return and hopefully see the red...

"We enjoyed our stay. The 3 bedroom apartment accommodated our group of 6 well and was spacious. The furnishings are a little older but the grounds and the view to the lake are lovely. We enjoyed a drink at the onsite bar. It is worth checking the location on Google Maps as it is a little off the beaten track, but that is part of its charm. "

"The lodge was perfect for an outdoor family like us with dogs. Location is quite remote but that's what we like. We'd advise going stocked up with food and drink before going. there is a pub within walking distance with pub food and a great pool table. Meals were after 6pm. The lodge was very comfortable with everything you need. Having the sauna was fantastic especially after a long day out. There is a lot do do around the area but do expect to drive here and there.
