Top Daishoin Temple Hotel Reviews
Resort Hotel Mihagi
10/10 Excellent
"Great resort right on the beach. Clean room while dated, it was well maintained and staff was visible and helpful. Did Half board and both Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Restaurant staff was rated 5 stars. Explained every dish. We took advantage of the large public bath, the intimate outdoor Onsen and our private bath in the room All were great. This is an underated hotel as Hagi is an underated place to visit in Japan. I think we were the only Foreigner visitors and we are Japanese Americans. The rest of the guest were domestic Visitors. Secret note, this was a homecoming for me as I was actually born here 68 years ago and my first return since I left at age one to go to USA. It was emotional to say the least. Visit this place if you want to experience what Japan is beyond the Golden Route"
Hagi No Yado Tomoe
10/10 Excellent
"A most Japanese experience from the room, which was clean and comfortable to the breakfast and dinners that are provided, which are very local. Lots of seafood that was very well prepared. You do have to be ready for a completely different experience for example, puffer fish, baby sardines, along with temper and Wagyu beef dishes. The food is prepared for you and you don’t get to choose what you get. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. it helps to have Google translate we explored the town on E bikes that the hotel has for rent at a very reasonable price. I think a two day day would be great."
