The best area to stay in Daidatz is the Medina, especially for those seeking a traditional experience, or the Ville Nouvelle for a more contemporary stay.

The Medina is Daidatz's historic heart, a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleys that lead to bustling souks and hidden squares. It's a pedestrian-friendly area where you'll find traditional riads, artisan shops, and local eateries. Key landmarks include the Grand Socco square and the Kasbah, offering views over the city and the Strait of Gibraltar.

Couples often appreciate the Medina for its romantic setting. Staying in a beautifully restored riad provides a private and great experience, often with rooftop terraces great for enjoying the sunset. It's an ideal base for exploring the city's heritage and enjoying intimate dinners.

For those who prefer wider streets, modern amenities, and easier access by car, the Ville Nouvelle is an excellent choice. This area, developed during the historic period, features grand boulevards like Boulevard Pasteur, international shops, and a range of contemporary hotels. It's well-connected to other parts of Daidatz and offers a different perspective on the city.

Families often find the Ville Nouvelle more convenient due to its spacious accommodation options and proximity to modern conveniences.

The best time to go to Daidatz is typically during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months.

During these periods, the weather is pleasantly warm, with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 25°C, making it ideal for exploring the city's sights without the intense heat of summer. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer season, allowing for a more relaxed experience when visiting attractions like the Kasbah Museum or the souks of the medina.

Spring is particularly lovely as the surrounding landscapes are green, and the city's gardens are in bloom. It's a great time for couples who enjoy leisurely strolls through the Mendoubia Gardens or along the Corniche, taking in the coastal views.

Autumn offers similar comfortable temperatures and often brings clearer skies, superb for exploring the historic streets of the medina or taking a day trip to the nearby Cap Spartel.
