The location was truly ideal. The deck/porch area was perfect and peaceful. The kids enjoyed playing in the river with the pup. The decor was rustic and amazing. We loved reading about the history of the cabin.
We arrived pretty late so the easy check in was greatly appreciated! Cabin was cozy and sufficient for a family stay in a beautiful location just remote enough but still within an15 minute drive to food and entertainment. Thank you for a lovely experience in your riverside cabin!
Therapeutic sound from the river not only reaches you when you relax on the porch, but also to the upstairs bedroom. Fun property to walk/climb, great spacious cabin. Kitchen had all the supplies we needed. Hosts were great.
This house is a true log cabin with an interesting history. Lots of room, a nicely stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, a wood burning stove and a long back porch that overlooks a rushing river with the best sound ever!
We came with 2 teens who just graduated for a peaceful family getaway. The cabin was lovely with such character. The sounds of the river were instantly relaxing. We hiked to the river, went into town, read on the porch, played games together and grilled at night. We would love to stay again.
The trek to the river bank is enjoyable. Return trip however is a cardio workout, especially for the 60+ yr olds. Who decided to go more than twice (lol)
Waking up and going to sleep wiry the sound of the river is incredible
Very clean, very well equipped kitchen; owner has thought of everything truly!
The porch is fantastic and the best feature of the cabin
The history of the cabin is pretty amazing!
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. It’s stocked with everything needed for a few days. The porch view and sounds of the rushing waters are relaxing, didn’t get to enjoy the porch as much as we wanted because it was a little too cold while we were there. We found the king size bed to be uncomfortable, it could use a mattress topper, but since it was just two of us, we moved to another bed that was more comfortable. Everything else was perfect and we would definitely stay here again.
We LOVED the cabin!!! The setting is beautiful and you’ll want to spend all day on the deck listening to the river below and watching birds. The cabin was gorgeous, rustic and very cozy. We were impressed with how well appointed it is and you’ll be able to easily cook a big meal there, if needed. We celebrated Christmas there and had a lovely meal, while never leaving the cabin that day. It’s also in the country, but not at all far from Dahlonega and Helen, and the restaurants and sites they offer. We will definitely return for future family gathering and highly recommend this place. The owners were great and communicated well with all of my questions and inquiries. Thank you!!
Great location, amazing porch. Rushing River sounds all day and all night was very peaceful. Kitchen well stocked and overall a good stay. Only negative was that the ‘third bedroom’ was actually just a trundle bed in the hallway - so no privacy at all …
The trip was amazing! This cabin was second to none, sitting on the porch early morning hearing God's nature which includes the river. Plenty of space, great area inside or out to cook! Fun in the river and exploring! Close to town which has more fun and great food! Dahlonega is an amazing town. Next, great responsiveness by the hosts of the cabin and you can tell when you arrive they care and want you to have an awesome time. If you want a great family place this is it! We will be back yearly if not more... almost forgot deer galore...we saw deer every day! We definitely had a blessed stay!
The cabin was perfectly located in between all of the festivities we wanted to do. The cabin itself was clean and cozy! Firewood was provided and we were so thankful! The sounds from the river were so amazing we even slept with the window open! Kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. Host was super nice and available to answer any questions! We wish we would have had more time to just spend at the cabin. 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back!
(Be sure to download directions and door code before arrival! If you forget, the stump aT the end of the driveway gets service! 😀)
I highly recommend this property. The house is beautiful, with plenty of beds and room to move around. We fell in love with the story if the construction. Very cool! The kitchen is well stocked, and there are plenty of towels and linens. Sturdy and good quality furniture. We were a group of 10 adults, and there was enough room for everyone plus 6 vehicles in the driveway.
Getting to the house was a little tricky due to the narrow road, and not having phone service was challenging at the beginning, but as soon as we hit the river (quite a hike, but not too bad) everyone forgot about their phones! The internet service was OK considering the house is in a very secluded/hilly area.
And last, but not least, Chestatee River is one of the most beautiful and clean rivers that I have seen in this area. We had too much fun, then even before checking out, we went to the river again. So refreshing and gorgeous! Bring your water shoes, the picnic chair, and just relax in this majestic stream!!!
Thank you Jenifer!
