"The wave was lovely. The host was very kind , warm and welcoming, gave us a drink of orange juice when we arrived. you could see this place was loved and was an immaculately kept family apartments, the grounds were beautiful, really comfortable beds with crisp cotton sheets, big tv with Netflix etc, great WIFI, great for me and my daughters stay. We came early in the season 5th may so sadly was no chef, as heard breakfast and food is great. unfortunately we only stayed 2nights instead of the booked 5 nights as we did not like Sidari. Location was great a 15minute flat walk ( you will have to go over a bridge with stairs ) along the seafront and your in the main area . "

"This is an excellent location with great staff. The hotel is fantastic but the rooms are a bit tired and in need of upgrade. Also no kettle in rooms so had to keep asking for boiling water to make tea which felt hazardous walking up and down to the room carrying it. "

"Room on ground floor with a balcony over looking a car park. The car park was busy with man cars and coaches arriving for tourists to look at the canal. The music from the 2 restaurants started early and finished late. It was loud. The bed was like sleeping on concrete. "

"Everything about the villa was perfect spent 10 nights here and it was honestly amazing location was great had a beach just off the back of the villa about 2min walk was perfect for the kids. Owners were fantastic every time we needed anything they were straight there to help with. Definitely a 5 if not more."

"Just returned from a 7 night stay at sungate hotel where we were charged €70 on arrival for the tourist tax. We were aware of the tourist tax but only expected to pay €21 euro as advised by Hotels.com when we made the booked. When we queried the cost with the receptionist the following moring (we arrived very late in the evening and just wanted to get to the room) she stated, in a very quiet patronising voice "we are 4 star hotel and the fee is €10 per night. I showed her a screen shot i had taken regarding corfu tourist tax and she told me that was incorrect and in the same quiet voice told me we are 4 star hotel. We had to accept her word on this as there was no official star rating outside the hotel. This post is more to make people aware of the extra costs when they arrive. This hotel is in no way a 4 star hotel!!!! Yes there were enough beds by the pool and they were comfortable but the tiles around the pool are broken and a danger The bathroom was something else..... I've been to sidari previously so kind of knew what to expect but the shower curtain (which was held up by cable) was 2 inches to short which meant the room was absolutely soaking after every shower, and the smell in there was really bad. Room was cleaned daily but no tea/coffe making facilities which is what you'd expect with their 4 star self given ststus As you can see from the amount of notes in their suggestions box in reception they don't take anyones comments on board"

"Lovely place and owners are great. There is great pool, billard table and a chill bar. Only issue was air conditioner stops working for good if you take out the electricity card."
