"You really get what you pay for, however, if I pay for a non smoking room I at least expect not to have to smell cigarette smoke in the room. We moved rooms 3 times and in each room the cigarette smell was terrible, but ended up having to settle with one that was the least smelly as the man at the counter said "if this one doesn't work then I don't know".... basically implying we would have to look to get a hotel elsewhere even though it was almost 1am after a long 8hr drive and when we checked in he asked if I wanted to upgrade my room to the newer renovated rooms for an extra price. Meaning, there was rooms that was nicer but he still refused to put me in one of those even though the other 3 rooms he offered smelled like smoke when I specifically asked for non smoking. On top of all of that, the rooms were outdated, yes, but the black MOLD in the shower was the other main issue- disgusting and a hazard. Unfortunately I had to stay at this place again on my trip back down a few nights later because I booked it in advance. The second time, he did give me one of the "updated" rooms, but those were just as bad but thankfully the smoke smell wasn't as bad as all of the other one (still there, though). I don't usually ever write bad reviews because I can find positives in a lot of things, and for this one I will say I didn't see any bugs which is always my #1 thing when I stay at cheaper places, but truly this place needs help."
"When arriving to this hotel, say the name of the hotel you're staying at. Two hotels in the same building. The staff didn't ask for my ID when checking in. The room is very nice and the Breakfast is good."
"While the building is a bit old, and there is some aging apparent, the owners are definitely doing their best to make the facility welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed our short stay."
"First checked in and was put in a building that I had to drive to and the room had no plug for me to plug my phone in. It was behind some big heavy, torn up leather chair it smelled in the room and I was in the room for 10 minutes and all of a sudden somebody just comes walking in and she says oh I’m sorry and shut the door and then another 10 minutes later somebody else comes walking in the room and then shut the door and I open the door and I said what is going on. I said is this room clean and she said yes and then she told me to put the do not disturb sign on the door. I called the front desk because I couldn’t plug my phone in so they told me they would move me to another room. I drove back up to the front of the hotel. They put me in another room and I’m not in there for five minutes and a man comes walking in the room without knocking and then all of a sudden start saying he’s sorry that he was there to put a microwave in in my room. Had a microwave in it already and before I got to that room, they sent me to another room, and I opened the door and it reeked of marijuana so that’s when they put me in the other room and the guy had walked in. They told me they could not refund the room which I didn’t even ask for I just said I wanted to be left alone and put in a room with the right accommodations. The coffee in the morning tasted like water that they offered at the free breakfast. It was just an awful experience."
"Not a good experience- plumbing wasn't working- no water to the toilet and when water was turned on toilet leaked, sticky floors, shower curtain rod falling out of the wall, towels and bedding had many stains on them even the new stuff we had them bring us had stains on, TV not working right (intermittently), pool was covered and unavailable but nothing mentioned on website about it, and they advertised a "buffet breakfast" on the website but it was smaller than even an average "continental breakfast" so why would they even advertise it that way? The stay consisted of 2 separate rooms so i don't believe this was just a fluke, i think this is the typical experience and Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name tied to this hotel!"
