The rooms were fabulously clean, comfortable beds, the staff was super friendly, and the courtyard was beautiful. It was a noisy street, but that seemed to be a consistent everywhere in Cusco. Easy walk to the main square. The balcony was a great place to sit and enjoy the view.

The stay was fantastic and super unique - the staff was super friendly, the grounds were beautiful, and the room was clean and quiet. The hotel has a very antique and rustic feel which very much added to it as well.

The place was pretty nice overall. Breakfast was better than most places we have been to in Peru. The noise was awful though. Starting at about midnight fireworks were going off like every 15 minutes, creating a form of psychological torture. This went on pretty much till it got light out, at that time, the people above us started making loud noises. Like dropping pool balls or something on the hard wood floors. Overall the place was clean and did the job for one night

Very safe hotel (main door to road is always locked-staff buzz you in), great bed, dark room for sleeping, charming courtyard, hot shower, friendly staff, lovely breakfast. We only had breakfast one of two days because we left at 4:30 am on second day (we were not offered a takeaway breakfast, but not expecting it either). The outdoor walking paths are wonderful but could be difficult for individuals with poor footing. The door to the room was initially a little finicky to close-but was easier with practice. Great view!!

Fantastic place to stay in Cusco. The second floor really offered us a good view of Cusco city with Andean backdrop. Breakfast was very good, with everything was made in house including yogurt, jam, coffee and hot breakfast.

El Balcon is a nice hotel. However it is not reccomended for people with disabilities or problem with walking steep roads or climbing steps. The hotel breakfast is excellent and staff is very courteous and helpful.

This hotel was beautifully restored and maintained. It is in a great location - close to the city's plaza - which makes walking around and exploring Cusco great. There is also a full jug of clean water in the lobby at any time, which allows for easy drinking. The staff was accommodating and kind, and allowed us to store our bags during the Incan trail.

A quiet, friendly corner with a view!

Ei Balcon was perfect for me. Time for myself and writing in a beautiful place; an excellent breakfast, a good supper and glass of wine if I wanted it. Friendly service and easy access to the centre, along with wonderful views. I hope I will have the chance to come back.

Nice little refuge in Cusco

Hotel is quaint and a little quirky. Wifi didn't perform well in the room, but was better in outdoor garden seating and cafe. A cooked breakfast was included, which is always a plus in my book. Staff super nice and helpful. Easy walking to central plaza, shopping and restaurants.

The hotel is full of rustic charm. It is a little up the hill with stunning views over Cusco. While the traffic is quieter some of the guests were not so quiet. I really liked the place but it would not be for everyone.

This hotel was great! It is in the perfect location for exploring cusco and the rooms were very comfortable. The whole place has a traditional style making it a charming place to stay. The food was great; good breakfast choices made to order and always delicious. Anytime the staff were happy to help you with anything and always friendly. I would recommend staying for your visit to cusco. Ps the shower was a real treat. After traveling to a few South American counties this boiling hot shower with real water pressure was amazing!

We stayed there for 2 nights. Breakfast was good and fresh. The hotel is located on a very busy street. It was noisy during the day and night. If you are light sleeper, i wouldn't recommend this place. The bathroom does not have a vent. And they only provide a shampoo/body wash, no hair conditioner. The room does not have a wall heater. They only provide a portable heater for the room which was not enough to heat the room at night. I dont think this place was worth the money. Also the sign at the front of the hotel showing it is a hostal

This property is stunning. We stayed 3 nights at a 5 star prior to a trek, and stayed our last evening at El Balcon when we returned to Cusco. We are already planning our next trip and this hotel is our first choice. We stayed in 18, the balcony suite on the corner. The fireplace was loaded and set up when we arrived and the room was gorgeous. The decor was STUNNING. The shower was hot and water pressure was fantastic. The breakfast was delicious. Fresh juice, amazing guacamole, homemade butter and jam. The staff were the most thoughtful people we’d met in Peru. We felt very welcome. Can’t recommend this hotel enough.
