"We spent two nights in Cuenca to visit one of our workers and while there stayed in the Casa Ordonez. We stayed there because the reviews were so good. We were impressed by the friendliness of the owner and his staff. They were quick to meet all our needs, put us in a better room the second night, arranged tours for us and we just appreciated them so much. Breakfast was very good and different every day! "

"Very nice hostel/inn. The cathedral/ historic center is a 20 minute walk. Taxis are available down the block. Breakfast was good. Eggs prepared your styled. With delicious cuenca bread. Surprisingly it was vey quiet. Even the neighborhood. I will return to La Casona for anothrr trip."

The hotel is centrally located with many shopping opportunities, and the Pumapungo ruins (a bit of a hike, but not bad) within walking distance.
