What a wonderful property. So many things to see and explore here from the Hammock Haven to the Trampoline! Walking distance from everything in town proper. Host was lovely. Exceptional rooms and super cozy beds. Would definitely stay again!

Relaxing weekend

Had a very relaxing at the Crown King Cabins, Suites, and Bunkhouse. The owner, Karen, was very friendly. She provided us with some sightseeing tips for the local area. Check-in was easy. The room was very cozy. There was a separate living and sleeping area. Great place to unplug and see the stars.

Sum it up. My daughter wants to bring her Bffs up because she thought it was so cool. 13 year old saying that is impressive?!!! Sunny is amazing and just an absolute lovely place to relax and unwind!! Truly enjoyed it!! Heading back for the golf tournament for sure.

Loved the eclectic use of antiques and old mining equipment throughout the garden areas. So much going on in the garden areas, lots of little places to hang out with a giant swing, a tree house, bathtub water fountain, plenty of places to explore! There were some things in the room that were older, but everything was very clean! It's an hour down a dirt road, so I'm sure getting replacement refrigerators etc. isn't easy! I love that they respectfully use everything they have and keep it clean!

It was beautiful there, we were upgraded to the Birds Nest room and it was nice with a great little balcony over looking the creek. negative things were the frig was not working ( freezer worked just not the frig part) and there was no hot water in little kitchen and bathroom sink. ( *we never let the staff know, we were just there a couple of days, I’m sure they would have addressed the issues right away had we told them) Bed was a little broke down, you tended to fall into the middle, all in all it was quiet and we enjoyed ourselves, we would definately go back, just know there is a 27mile drive up the mountain on a dirt road.

In the middle of Crown King Action

We have an annual hike and spend a couple of nights here. Its the perfect place. Next to the Saloon, General Store and Breakfast Cafe. And thats all you need. Plus the scented saintly smell of the pines.

This is a clean hotel/motel that is super difficult to get to (rough rocky roads) the town is quaint but much like an old ghost town. On arrival, the owner I assumed did not seem friendly. When questioned about the heater operation (it was snowing) she was acted very bothered to have to instruct me. Basic accommodations.

Emergency phone number given does not work and when picked up the other side was drunk. Took about half hour to find the keys and the right cabin amidst dark with absolutely no help. I ran into a couple obstacles-accidents so was delayed by 2 hrs. Still, emergency line, which I confirmed twice before arrival, should have worked for a late check-in. It wasn’t even in the middle of the night - it was 9PM, come on.

I strongly suggest not booking this property. First of all, the name is actually different than advertised. We had to walk around to find someone to check us in. All encounters with people were extremely unfriendly. The unit was dirty, had roaches and there was no way we would have used the cookware or chipped China. It was awful and we only stayed one night of our planned two night stay.
