Great Accommodation, Great Location

Long Bank Holiday w/e with 4 year old, Mum and Granny. Beautifully restored and designed house, extremely clean and with everything you need available. Ben is an amazing host, going over and above to make our stay as comfortable as possible and keeping our 4 year old entertained😁 We visited Lyme Regis, front Sandy beach, and Charmouth, with its two Sandy and pebble beaches with rock pools , both beautiful and within easy access of Crewkerne. Would definitely return again. Highly recommended. Thank you Ben.

Great property in a great location

The property was fantastic and in a central location in Crewkerne. Ben was a fantastic host and made the process of checking in simple along with answering some queries before we came to stay

Great cottage lovely location

Really nice cottage lots of quirky features, lots of the original features retained refurbished to a high standard, location wise was great and plenty of nice days out locally

Lovely old town house

Very old town house situated in the market square of Crewkerne. Sympathetically renovated with a number of lovely quirky features. We were ideally placed for exploring the Jurassic coastline and beautiful countryside. Much enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back again.

Great cosy cottage in lovely town

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sutton House. The cottage has been beautifully restored and had everything that we needed. Ben could not have been more helpful and friendly. He recommended some pubs as per our request, we ate at Winyard’s Gap Inn, a short drive from the cottage, which we would highly recommend. There is some traffic noise in the cottage as the road that runs through Crewkerne is quite busy but it is reasonably quiet at night and we slept very well, helped by one of the most comfortable beds we’d ever slept in! We liked Crewkerne and it is well situated to travel to both the Dorset and Somerset coasts. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay in Sutton House again.

We loved Sutton House ❤️

A true Character property! Tastefully renovated for 21st Century living, with all the mod cons, but retaining it’s beautiful rustic character. Very thoughtfully equipped, I can’t think of anything that wasn’t provided. Free parking 2 minute walk around the corner in a well lit car park. Amazing, friendly hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and had everything we needed. We received a welcome pack with milk, butter, snacks, tea, coffee etc which was a lovely touch. Crewkerne is a lovely town and has everything you need in terms of shops, supermarkets, pubs and takeaways. It is nicely situated, within easy reach of the coast and other popular destinations- we visited West Bay, Lyme Regis, Portland Bill, New Forest and several places in between. We had a great stay at Sutton House and would definitely recommend it :-)

Fab time in Crewkerne.

Modern meets old world character. A nice warm cosy property with the additional feature of a wood burning stove with plenty of wood. Lots of space, perfect central location for our stay.

A lovely and unusual cottage

We stayed for 3 nights. The owner met us at the property and showed us round and showed us how everything worked. He was really friendly and helpful and I'm sure would have been helpful as to things to do, but as one of our party was from the area, we didn't need that sort of information. We needed to contact him during the stay for more information on an appliance and he was there really quickly. The cottage is simply but stylishly furnished and is actually much older than the façade suggests. We were slightly disappointed that the good weather didn't warrant us using the woodburner! Although the cottage has no parking, there are car parks nearby and also on street parking very close by which was useful for loading/unloading. We would gladly use the cottage again.

The right place to stay in Crewkerne

We had a lovely stay in Crewkerne. The house is perfect, very stylish with all the modern equipment you need. The owner did a wonderful job in restoring this very old house. We felt very welcome. Sutton house is in the middle of the town, which is very convenient with all the (antique) shops, pubs and restaurants on walking distance. We can really recommend this house.

Wonderful Easter break at Sutton House

We had a fantastic long weekend at Sutton House. The house has been renovated to an amazing standard and is beautifully finished. It is very well equipped with all the home comforts you would need. We had a lovely and relaxing break and look forward to a return visit. Ben was an excellent host, meeting us on arrival. Thanks for a lovely stay.
