"This was a great spot. So cute and the rooms were cozy. The parking was around back so you had to walk a little bit from the lot (I got in after dark). But it’s a safe area and bonus they have parking at all! 10/10."

"The Crewe Inn is located in a very small town off of 460. It is exactly what you expect from an Inn: small, basic amenities, typical continental breakfast, loud outside your door sometimes, etc. The property is still under construction. The rooms have been remodeled and look great. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I had an issue with my room and it was resolved within 10-15 minutes. Once the complete renovation is done, it will be a great option for a quick stay. Note: There is nothing really in town. You have to drive 20 minutes for most needs, other than a few dollar store type places."

"The Fox Den was perfect for our stay in Farmville! The property was just as described in the write up and photos. Nicole and Brian were very responsive to answering questions and helping with any issues. This was perfect for our stay and we will certainly check availability here first the next time we visit. We hope to visit again during the fall season to take advantage of the fire pit and enjoy what I believe is some beautiful fall foliage from the front porch rockers!"

"Home was well stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen, towels, bedding, etc. The only thing is that the listing says that it can sleep six people which is possible, but I would recommend no more than five adults or four adults and either two kids on the pullout couch or one adult. There was a pack and play if you had an infant, which could be the sixth person, but definitely would be uncomfortable for two adults to be on the pullout sofa as it’s not a regular pullout sofa with a mattress/linens but more of a slide out trundle from underneath with the same material as the couch. Communication was wonderful and accommodating! Even had trial size toiletries in the bathroom, a tire swing and a few welcome snacks on the counter. Will definitely consider a future stay if we are in the area!"

"My family and I had a wonderful stay at Joyful Escape. The home looked just as it did online. The property was beautiful and the environment was very peaceful. Everyone that stayed and those that came for our gathering was amazed, some asking how did I find this place. WE LOVE IT!"

"The host was very accommodating and answered all of our pre-trip questions so we knew just exactly what we needed, or more importantly didn’t need, to bring with us. Communication didn’t end there. After our arrival, every time we had a question we had a response within about five minutes. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the grill was brand new! We stayed here over 2026 graduation weekend for Longwood University. The accommodations were perfect for the 11 of us! Only about 15 or 20 minutes from the campus and we had all the comforts of home. We had a little post graduation get together at the swimming pool and enjoyed the provided s’more‘s kit around the fire pit. The pool house outdoor Wi-Fi speakers were a great plus. The game room in the basement was a huge hit with the middle and high schoolers that came with us. The nice, quiet surroundings were so relaxing! We even got to know one of the owners who stopped by to see how things were going. My husband and son enjoyed chatting with him. My grown son said he could live there forever. His idea of the perfect home! We don’t have any more graduations, coming anytime soon, but will come up with another reason to visit again!"
