What a delightful house! It was perfect for our two week stay in Crested Butte. The location could not have been more perfect. Owner was quick to respond to a few questions that came up.
Will definitely stay here again.
Talk about a luxury retreat! We’ve been coming to Colorado for 50+ years and this house is definitely at the top of the list. The owners thought of everything. The interior design of the house was warm, not to mention stunning. It was just the get away my husband and I were looking for. Super easy access to shops and restaurants. Great outdoor seating as well. Walter, the owner, was most accommodating and accessible. We will definitely be renting this house again.
The quality of the home is exceptional. Heated floors, a tankless water heater, and a great reading collection made our stay incredibly comfortable. The family-sized dining table was perfect for gathering. The owner has truly thought of everything guests need, and the location near Elk Avenue couldn’t be better. We will definitely return.
Great location, 1 block off Elk Ave (the main st in town). Property was exactly as pictured. Beds were very comfortable. Walther is a very helpful host. Would absolutely stay here again
Had a great stay in Crested Butte! Property is in a great location - a block from the shops and restaurants on Elk Ave and a few hiking trails are accessible nearby. The house is beautifully appointed, cozy and comfortable. The host is very welcoming. Would definitely go back!
Everything about the house was wonderful. It has been recently renovated and very well done. Even the yard was gorgeous. The only unfortunate situation is that the evenings in Crested Butte are cool, but the afternoons warm up. Once the house gets warm it is difficult to cool it down for sleeping. There are no screens on the windows so opening them is not a great option. The addition of screens would make a huge difference. I’m sure in winter this isn’t a concern.
Apartment Diamante is situated in a quiet apartment complex within a ten minute walk of the small resort. There you will find some lovely restaurants and shops to browse. It has a free car park right in front of the block and a lovely rooftop pool which very few people use. Nearby is a family bakery (the ciabatta is as light as a cloud) but the supermarket is a short car ride away. The apartment is spacious with a large balcony where we ate every day. The apartment is well equipped for self-catering and has a large fridge freezer. Everything was super clean, including the oven. The bathrooms and bedrooms are spacious with hair dryers and a washing machine. I requested an extra hand towel each and the agent delivered them the next day. The agent also provided superb pictorial instructions as to how to find the apartment so we had no difficulty whatsoever in locating it.The stay would have been improved if a handbook for the air conditioning was available. It wasn't until two days before we left that we discovered how it works. Also, the hot water was sometimes a bit of a mystery, especially in the kitchen. A few basics such as salt and pepper and/or herbs would have helped too as we had to buy everything from scratch although a welcome pack containing olive oil and washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets was provided. Having said that, we would definitely return to this apartment as the aspect, looking at the lake through the trees, is wonderful.
