"This place offers an affordable price compared to other hotels in Traverse City. I chose it mainly to have a place to sleep. I used silicone ear plugs to help with noise since the air conditioning unit and traffic can be loud. It has excellent hot water and a small refrigerator, which I really appreciate. There is plenty of parking. I will stay at this place again."

"Loved the look and overall feel of the environment. Great amenities, great food, huge parking lot and nice shopping and spa. Seems to fit well for families, couples and a simple retreat. Not very far from the city and golf course was lovely."
"Grand Beach Resort Hotel is about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Traverse City, so it's in a little calmer location. It has its own private beach with beautiful views of this inlet of Lake Michigan. Towels for the beach are provided and the hotel has rows of beach chairs already on the beach for guests to use. Included in the rate is a choice of breakfasts (like hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, muffin, orange juice) which is delivered outside your door and you pick the time. Coffee is in the lobby all day. The staff is VERY nice and helpful. Parking is a little tight since many travel with large vehicles on vacation. The facility is clean overall. A free community shuttle can take you to downtown Traverse City and these small buses swing by on the main road every 10-15 minutes or so. Be aware that shuttles running routes not on the main road have a small fee. This is our second time here, both coincided with the National Cherry Festival/Fourth of July. Would definitely recommend."
"Staff was great, room was large and roomy with a full fridge, nice gazebo in the back with grills, a pool, hot tub and breakfast was decent. Will stay there ago!"
OAK COTTAGE - Lakefront on Thayer Lake in Alden, MI with WiFi, AC
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Lovely location right on Thayer Lake with well-cared for grounds. Check-in was easy with info sent via email. Overall, really great spot."
"I have a couple of contructive comments.
Our stay was wonderful. When it rained, it looked like some of the gutters were clogged so that on one or two of the rooms' awnings over the little decks were flowing like waterfalls! Not ours. Another thing was a constant "beep.beep.beep" from what sounded like some kind of alarm (not super loud) but you could hear it 24 hrs each day . Just concerned it might have been a moisture detection alarm like we have in our basement...BUT...I have very keen hearing, so ither guests may not have notice.
My wife and i enjoyed the Happy Hour and the dinner were very tastey with helpful abd friendly waitstaff .
The check-in staff was excepcional and recommended that we purchase sunscreen nearby at Dollar General because of the extremely high temps.
Thanks....we will definitely return and recommend Lakeview Hotel...unbelievable view of Lake Bellaire. Incredible sunset views!
Thank you!
