The Grove Annexe

The Grove Annexe is an immaculately presented one-bedroom, ground-floor cottage nestled in the Shropshire countryside. Couples will thoroughly enjoy the secluded hot tub in the large garden while there are plenty of books and games to play indoors.

Located 1.4 miles from Craven Arms and 7 miles from Church Stretton, The Grove Annexe is perfectly located for those wanting to explore the beautiful county. Craven Arms has a variety of shops, a hotel with bar and restaurant, takeaways, cafes, as well as the lovely Stokesay Castle and the nearby Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre with its virtual balloon ride over Shropshire.

The Grove Annexe is a perfect base for walkers with Wenlock Edge and Corvedale Valley close by, along with the picturesque hills around Church Stretton, known as Little Switzerland.

There is a handy utility room should guests require it and gas central heating with a gas fire in the living room for the cold winter nights. Parking for one car, Wi-Fi, a BBQ, TV with BT entertainment package, DVD player and lockable bike storage mean that guests have all the necessary amenities for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

The Annexe adjoins the owner's Grade II listed lodge next door but the large private gardens and separate entrance mean that The Grove Annexe is still perfectly secluded and ideal for a private getaway. Please note that the Grove Annexe is set back from the A49 road and some faint road noise can occasionally be heard from the garden.

The Annexe is strictly no smoking and is not suitable for children. Please be aware parking is included for one vehicle only.

Please note that there will be no BBQ from end of October to 1st April for guests to use.

Perfect place for some relaxation

The Grove Annex was &#39Perfect'. Pauline and Paul have made it a lovely place to stay, with everything you could need. The garden was lovely, sitting in the hot tub, watching all the birds. Inside was very comfortable and immaculately clean. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a lovely weekend.

The booking was easy and communication prompt and informative. The check in went smoothly, Pauline introduced herself and showed us around and then left us to it for the rest of the weekend. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The accommodation was spacious but cosy. The garden was private, tidy and calming. The hot tub was clean and well looked after. Loads of information provided on what you could do in the local area. Overall a lovely relaxing weekend, just what we needed.

Recommended cottage

The Annexe is a very well equipped, comfortable cottage. which is an ideal base for much that Shropshire has to offer, being within easy reach of Shrewsbury and Ludlow. Stokesay Castle (which shouldn't be missed) is minutes away. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed, including the fantastic hot tub. We had a really relaxing break and would not hesitate to return and recommend to others. The only negative point was the bed, which was standard double and smaller than we are used to.

Fell in love with Shropshire whilst we were there.

Pauline & Paul were super friendly. Accommodation was very snug and warm. Kitchen was well equipped. Nice big TV and comfy sofa for the evenings in. Added bonus of the Hot Tub after a hard days walking. Ideally located for Ludlow, ShrewsburyTelford. Short walk into Craven Arms. Buss stops to LudlowShrewsbury right across the road. Walks and historic stuff all around. Only point to note is that property is cited near a main road be prepared for a little noise from all the busy farm folk & traffic. Other than that would happily visit again :)

The lodge annex

Hot tub ready to use at anytime. Electric so always hot. Hooks for the robes would be helpful in bathroom . The fire exit light in bedroom( on all night) irritated me at first, please make a note of this when describing bedroom.

Spring visit

We came for a short 2 night getaway.. property was absolutely lovely clean, tidy and well kept. Hot tub was a really great place to relax after a long day. The road is a little noisy but private fences did help a little a short drive to some great country pubs too
