6/10
Enjoyed the escape overall and hope to return. Tried to book in June but weeks selected were already taken. Advert and pics slightly misleading. Many pics taken with a pro camera so enhanced images resulted, but unit size more than adequate. Minor but fireplace shown in pics replaced with electric stove.
Thanks to host for asking diet observations as I survived converting 95% to vegan life for the entire week.
Sunset view? View was a parking lot - fortunately trees mostly blocked the view. Rural/country setting used in description - it was indeed a small village but had 3 commercial rail lines just south of the village. Not as quiet as I had hoped as location is on a main artery which measured in 10 minute increments multiple times averaged 400-470 vehicles per hour during daylight. Being rural ATV's and ego-trucks drivers abound. Several overt anti-mask residents flying anti gov't flags. Could be nice people, but scowled at me while I just sat on the porch, beverage in hand of course.
Everything did work and no issues arose during stay. More items provided than I anticipated and the house was updated very tastefully. Minor housekeeping shortages found. Pet dishes + blankets should likely be designated but I will contact the owner about these issues.
A few village residents were very friendly and had some interesting chats during walks in town. The area boasts home areas averaging $1.7 million so Toronto is moving in.
I would rate this unit as one that I would return to
