Search Costaros hotels

The best area to stay in Costaros is right in the village centre, particularly around the main square and along the D589 road.

This is the heart of Costaros, offering the most convenience and access to local amenities. You'll find the village's few shops, bakeries, and restaurants concentrated here, making it easy to pop out for fresh bread or a meal. The general layout is fairly compact, with most things within a short walk.

For travellers seeking a straightforward and convenient stay, the village centre is perfect. It's an excellent base for exploring the surrounding Auvergne region, as the main roads connecting to larger towns like Le Puy-en-Velay are easily accessible from here.

For the best weather and outdoor activities, the ideal time to visit Costaros is during the summer months, from June to August.

During this period, you can expect warm, sunny days, superb for exploring the surrounding volcanic landscapes, hiking in the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park, or enjoying the local markets. The longer daylight hours also allow for more extensive sightseeing.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will appreciate the pleasant evenings for dining al fresco and enjoying the tranquil countryside. The warm weather makes it comfortable to visit nearby lakes for swimming or leisurely boat trips.

Families will find summer particularly suitable for outdoor adventures, with plenty of opportunities for walks, cycling, and picnics.
