"The rooftop terrace was lovely with great views. The food and drink were also excellent, as were the staff. Had a room upgrade which included the use of the spa - the sauna was one of the best I’ve used and also the massages we had on top were amazing. Really liked the location as it was a little out from the centre but made it nicer to walk more."

"This is a lovely property in a good area. The only negative is that the sofa bed is very noisy and not that comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay though."

"Comfortable room, but the bed was a little stiff. The housekeeper, Barbara was fantastic and very helpful. The shower is beautiful. We were overall happy with our stay. "

"Overall, I had a very good experience at Hotel Stella 2000. The room was clean, the staff were lovely and welcoming, and everything was comfortable for my stay. The location is also quite convenient, in a good area and not too far from the city centre."

"Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The photos made it look more appealing than it really was. I left a dress in the closet ( I am 100 percent sure where I left it as I meant to pack it last so it wouldn’t wrinkle) after checking out and asking about the dress they said they couldn’t find it making me believe it was in my luggage. When I checked my luggage, no dress. The room was extremely hot, after notifying them they did nothing to resolve the issue as I couldn’t not adjust the temperature of...

We only stayed her one night after arriving on a late flight however the stay was fantastic and I would definitely stay here again if in the area. The room was large, well designed with a comfortable bed and pillow and a much appreciated coffee machine. The breakfast was delicious and they even offered me GF bread. The highlight for us was the Bacchus restaurant which is located on the site and was seriously amazing food with lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Great location close to old town. Excellent staff service. Breakfasts were a delight on top floor overlooking the Olbia hills. Private parking was available around the corner for a small daily fee. Very safe & secure.

This is a perfect hotel for your stay in lovely Olbia. Excellent location a few metres from the attractive main Street walking mall. The super friendly and very welcoming staff made us feel right at home. Loved the roof top bar/ lounge.

Really well located, super accessible, the host was easy to communicate with and attentive. Everything was clean and the kitchen was pretty well stocked and clean, my only feedback would be a label for the shelves corresponding to the rooms and maybe a cutting board and oven tray! We stayed in the economy room, the only downside being a lack of shelves/floor space. But the bathroom was clean and had nice toiletries was spacious.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Tramas Hotel, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was plentiful and varied and the spa amenities were exceptional. We stayed in the Sardart Rooms which were spacious and modern. The hotel is situated off the main area which is much quieter however just very short walk from all the action. Highly recommend.

The best area to stay in Costa Dorata is along the main coastline, particularly around the central beach area, for convenient access to amenities and the sea.
This area is the heart of Costa Dorata, offering direct access to its beautiful beaches and clear waters. You'll find a good selection of hotels, restaurants, and shops clustered along the main promenade and surrounding streets. The general layout is designed for easy pedestrian access to the beach and local facilities.
For couples seeking a relaxing and convenient holiday, staying close to the central beach is ideal. You'll be within easy walking distance of the main stretches of sand, great for sunbathing or a swim. Many establishments offer sea views, and there are plenty of spots for a pleasant evening meal.
Families will also find this central area highly suitable. The proximity to the beach means less travel time for little ones, and many hotels in this zone are well-equipped with facilities for children. There are often gentle slopes to the sea, making it excellent for swimming and playing.
When is the best time to go to Costa Dorata?
The best time to go to Costa Dorata is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, and September, when the weather is warm and pleasant without the peak summer crowds.
During these months, you'll find average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 26°C, ideal for enjoying the beautiful beaches and outdoor activities. The sea is warm enough for swimming and watersports, and the natural landscape is lush and inviting. You'll also experience fewer crowds at popular attractions like Cala Brandinchi or the Tavolara Marine Protected Area, offering a more tranquil and exclusive experience.
For couples seeking a romantic and relaxed getaway, these months are perfect. You can enjoy quiet dinners at beachfront restaurants, leisurely strolls along the coast, and peaceful boat trips without the hustle and bustle of July and August. Many hotels and resorts offer excellent value during the shoulder seasons, providing premium experiences at more attractive rates.
Families with young children might also find these months more comfortable. The milder temperatures are better for little ones, and the less crowded beaches make it easier to manage and enjoy family time.
