LOCATION : A traditional, yet unique, two bedroom/one bathroom, single story home 🏡with covered/private parking and a spacious fenced in back yard.

Centrally located for day trips to Mesa Verde National Park (13 miles), Canyon of the Ancients (11 miles), Crow Canyon (5 miles), Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (45 miles), Telluride ski resort (73 miles), the Four Corners Monument (40 miles), and Moab, UT (115 miles).

Just a short walk from downtown Cortez, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, parks with tennis and pickle ball courts, cultural center and recreational center, this bungalow-style home offers a quaint and comfortable home away from home as you explore the high desert plains of southwest Colorado.

NOTE: The homeowners live in the Cortez area and are readily available to ensure your stay is convenient and enjoyable

PETS: Dogs welcome (with an additional pet fee of $50.00). Encouraged to crate pets if leaving alone in house. Crates provided by request. Required to pick up after your pets in the back yard by the end of your stay. Do not leave your pets alone in the back yard if you are leaving the home.

Wonderful Property

The house is exactly as pictured. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything that you would need. House was very clean, it was perfect for out visit to Mese Verde National Park.

Amazing Little Cottage

Fabulous stay at this cute cottage. Very clean. Our dogs enjoyed the spacious backyard. Everything about this cottage was great. If we could give 10 stars, we would.

We had an excellent stay! The location was perfect for exploring the 4 Corners area and the house was spotless. We really appreciated the welcome gifts and the very comfortable beds!! We would highly recommend and will certainly stay here when returning to the area.

Perfect for small family and dog

Coming from southern Utah to visit friends in Mancos and ride the Silverton train, we found the perfect oasis in Cortez to serve as our central hub for the trip. Surprisingly roomy on the inside, comfortable, adorably furnished and equipped with everything we could possibly need for our stay. The back yard was a wonderful plus, providing shade and plenty of green grass and space for the pup to run around. Staying in Cortez was an added bonus as we took advantage of the close proximity to downtown to spend a few unplanned hours one morning happily wandering the shops on main street. Would definitely stay again!

Best Vacation Rental!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was extremely tidy and homey. It had the best backyard for our dogs that came along the way as well. We will most definitely be staying again next year for our yearly trip to Cortez!

Hands down perfection!

We absolutely loved our stay at Jamie & Rodney’s place! Their place was decorated beautifully, was extremely clean, and had all the comforts of home. The hosts were so generous and thoughtful with all the little extras (snacks/toiletries), which was very much appreciated. We enjoyed porch visits from the neighborhood cats, which was an unexpected bonus, as we were missing ours from back home! The only additions I’d love to see for potential future visits is a bbq grill and maybe a fire pit. If we ever find ourselves in Cortez again, we wouldnt look any further than Jamie & Rodney’s!

A wonderful home away from home

We loved our time at Jamie and Rodney’s house. They truly thought of everything to make us feel welcome and at home. The house was immaculate and all of the extra touches made it such a pleasure to stay there. We loved the big fenced backyard for our dog as well as enjoying our coffee on the lovely front porch. We definitely plan to stay there again the next time we visit Cortez.

Outstanding House in Cortez

This charming, cozy, well-organized, and nicely appointed home was perfect for our three night stay. Jamie and Rodney should provide training to other VRBO hosts on how to prepare and manage a VRBO property! Great instructions and labels in the house. They seem to have thought of everything guests will need.

Fabulous Place!

This is, by far, the best VRBO we've stayed at. Not only was the house spotless and tastefully decorated, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of parking. Other huge perks were the fact that there wasn't a huge check out list of things to do (thank you!) and, unlike other places we've stayed, we were left with plenty of dishwasher and laundry detergent. That was a huge bonus! We can't recommend this place enough! The proximity to Mesa Verde National Park was also an added bonus!

Well appointed home perfect for dog

We had a lovely stay in Cortez. The house had everything we needed - kitchen and bath well stocked (even toothbrushes if you forgot). Our greyhound loved hanging out on front porch and fenced in backyard and daily walks at nearby Parque De Vida. The walk to town is .5-.7 miles one way if you want to leave car parked. We parked in front because our car hitch and bike rack dragged on the driveway if used covered parking. The only downside to the house is the traffic noise on E. Empire St. (north side of house), but usually quiet in middle of night.

Wonderful property

I spent 12 days at this property in August and it was a very pleasant experience from the time we booked to the time we checked out. The hosts are very responsive and very considerate. The house has been remodeled and everything is in top condition. We did use the AC as it was hot. The kitchen is well equipped, the laundry is stocked with cleaning supplies and the place was very clean. The yard is big and well tended, my pups loved running and chasing balls in the well secured grassy yard. The street is pretty busy but the noise was not a factor. You do have to be patient getting out of the carport but I didn’t have an issue waiting for a gap in traffic. Recommend if you have to spend time in this area.

Great week!

Very clean. Well appointed with many small touches that indicated the hosts really care. Stayed a full week with our loved elderly pet. He LOVED the back yard and we loved sitting out with him while so shared cocktails and cooked steaks on the grill. A perfect base for a full week of fun day trips!! Would stay here again.

Charming indeed

We had the best stay at what is definitely the most charming bungalow in Cortez! Jamie and Rodney’s attention to detail between thoughtful welcome snacks, plentiful amenities, lovely decor, and thorough recommendations and check-in/out instructions were greatly appreciated. The home was clean, bedding comfy, and kitchen stocked with essentials. After a day of hiking in Mesa Verde NP, it was great to have such a short (15-min) drive to the home, and an even shorter drive into town for a little sweet treat at DQ. We wish we could have stayed longer and if we ever find ourselves back in Colorado, hope to stay here again!

This property was the best Vrbo I have ever stayed in. The hosts literally took any guesswork of what we might need during our stay with a full kitchen supplies, cleaning, coffee maker, etc. The hosts literally thought of everything you might need during your stay. The backyard was great to spend the evening, and have a glass of wine that were complimentary. Only about a 12 mile drive to Mesa Verde, this house was the perfect base camp for our stay. Thanks for the great stay.

Lovely clean and comfortable home

This home is so much more than we expected! Incredibly clean, cozy and comfortable, and the hosts provide all the extras to really make you feel welcomed. Easy drive to Mesa Verde National Park and the whole SW region of Colorado.We would love to stay here again the next time we visit!
