Very private 3 bedroom villa, private 15m pool, large garden, lovely views.
Villa Pineta is a newly refurbished 3 bedroom Tuscan farmhouse with a stunning 15 metre swimming pool and very private grounds set in the hills north of Lucca.
Surrounded by olive trees and countryside views, this spacious property has been tastefully restored in a style that complements the character and charm of the original farmhouse. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a cloakroom, it is ideal for families or groups of friends wanting privacy, space and easy access to northern Tuscany.
THE VILLA
Nestled in the Tuscan hills with wood beamed ceilings and original terracotta floors, the house combines traditional materials with modern comfort.
On arrival, a private driveway provides ample covered parking.
The newly refurbished granite-topped kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances including dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. A large breakfast island provides a relaxed space for morning coffee.
Through the hallway is a spacious dining room with an extendable table seating 8 to 10 guests, ideal for indoor entertaining. A wood burning stove adds warmth and character in cooler months.
The living room features two comfortable sofas and an armchair, along with an original Tuscan fireplace. There is a smart TV, Wi-Fi, books and games for guest entertainment.
Upstairs, accessible from the second floor hallway, there is a balcony with breathtaking views across the valley, a perfect place to enjoy sunrise and sunset.
BEDROOMS
Villa Pineta has three bedrooms and sleeps 7.
The master bedroom is spacious with valley views, a queen size memory foam bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower and WC. A single roll-out bed is also available if required.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed which can be split into two singles if needed.
Bedroom 3 is a comfortable twin room with two single beds and ample storage.
GARDEN & OUTDOOR LIVING
The grounds include around 30 well maintained olive trees, a large fig tree, lemon trees and several quiet corners for relaxing.
Attached to the house is a covered patio with pergola providing shaded outdoor dining, perfect for long summer evenings. In front of the house there is an additional patio with comfortable outdoor sofas and chairs.
There is a newly added Argentinian style bbq and wood fired pizza oven.
THE POOL
The 15 metre private swimming pool is one of the villa’s strongest features. Ideal for both swimming and play, it is surrounded by sunbeds, umbrellas and a spacious pool deck with shower. The pool is open from May to October.
Villa Pineta offers space, privacy and tranquillity while remaining close to towns, transport links and cultural attractions.
LOCATION
Villa Pineta is located just uphill from Ghivizzano on the winding road towards Lucignana. The village is attractive and historic, with castle walls and a clock tower visible from the main road from Lucca.
There are supermarkets, pharmacies, home stores and many restaurants nearby, making the villa practical for longer stays.
The villa is approximately 40 minutes north of Lucca by car or train. Lucca is famed for its fully intact Renaissance walls, the second longest walled structure in Europe. The city is largely pedestrianised within the walls and is known for its restaurants, shopping and cultural events. It is also the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini, with concerts and museums dedicated to him throughout the year.
NEARBY TOWNS & ATTRACTIONS

Bagni di Lucca is just 15 minutes away and is famous for its natural thermal baths. The baths were used by the Romans and later restored by Elisa Baciocchi, sister of Napoleon, in 1811. They remain open today and offer relaxing spa experiences. The area also offers rafting and other outdoor activities for adventure seekers.

Probably one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Stunning, well-equipped villa with huge pool and total peace and quiet, surrounded by beautiful Tuscan scenery.
Our family of four had a wonderful time at the property. It is situated in a quiet setting with spectacular views. The house was very clean and we were very impressed with the mid stay cleaning service. We travelled to Florence, Lucca, Pisa. San Gimignano, Volterra, Carrara(marble mountain) and visited a pasta factory within a castle at Lari. When not travelling the family enjoyed relaxing by the pool.
Nice House with an huge garden. Unfortunately there were many flies in the area around the trees below the Pool.
The Pool was great to chill or playing some fun Games.
The house itself is suitably furnished and equipped (no AC, but fans were OK even in August). The main attraction is the garden and pool area with its uninterrupted views over the hills. Whilst it is possible to eat out in the evenings, there is nothing close by and I didn't fancy the winding drive up the hill to the house in the dark. So this property would suit a group of people who intend to take it easy - cook for themselves, drink and enjoy the sunshine - maybe visit some of the hilltop villages during the day (have a spot of lunch?). This is what we did and we had a good time.
If you are looking for a place to relax, swim and enjoy a good book, this is the place to go! A very charming house with everything you need to unwind. The view is spectacular, the pool big enough to swim laps and the kitchen has everything to cook a propper meal. The property manager was always responsive and helpful.
It takes 40 minutes to go to Lucca and one hour to Pisa. The nearest larger supermarkets you can reach within 15-20 minutes, but there are small stores within 10-15 minutes of reach. Plenty of restaurants in the area. A great place to unwind. However, you need to do a bit of driving to visit sights. We got used to driving the narrow road up to the house. We can recommend staying at this place.
Italienisches Landhaus, schöne Lage, ausserhalb gelegen, schöner Blick ins bewaldete Tal, gute Kücheneinrichtung. 29 km bis Lucca. Internet etwas schwach.
Ruhige Lage, keine direkten Nachbarn, toller Pool mit wunderschönem Blick ins Grüne, Haus bietet alles, was man braucht. Super ausgestattet (sogar drei Kühlschränke!!).
Wir waren begeistert!
