8.8/10 Excellent! (687 reviews)
Very nice and comfortable hotel right in the centre of town. We appreciated the location - <15 minutes walk to all of the sights and the piers. The room was large and we sat on the terrace in the sunshine several times. Breakfast was simple but sufficient and the complimentary cheese and wine/beer I'm the evenings was a nice touch and a way to get to meet fellow travellers. It was very useful to have access to a washing machine and dryer as well.

It’s a nice boutique hotel but one of the first things I noticed was that they provided ear plugs in the room which is not a good sign. It turns out they were definitely needed. The pub and bars across the street were very noisy with loud music. I slept very little.

"I cannot recommend the Duxton Hotel more highly. Of particular mention is the service, from the cleaning staff and especially the restaurants. The location was ideal for us. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and a few of the dishes were different every day, ensuring a bit of variety. We loved ..."
