"Loved staying in such a beautiful historical building. Very nice and quiet. We had breakfast included. The food was great with healthy options and plenty of coffee choices. We also enjoyed the dinners in the restaurant…which was nice after a day of sight seeing. Staff were so pleasant and helpful and went out of their way to answer questions and make sure we were comfortable. We were in Scotland for 10 days and stayed at two other hotels. This was our favorite!"

"Be sure to book ahead if you want to eat at the restaurant. Parking is out of premium. It’s a grand old place with a lot of history and close to a small village with a couple of restaurants which you should also reserve at. coaches full of seniors come here, so there’s a vibrant scene at the hotel bar"

"We stayed in the coach house room 2 and the only thing I would mention was that the four small lights on the ceiling flickered when they were on for a while. They were the ones which really lit up the room so I didn't like to turn them off. The centre light and bedside lights were a bit dim for reading, I found. Other than that there were no complaints at all."

"We were here on vacation. The location was great, right by the river. The restaurant was good (they seem to dry-age their beef themselves). Staff very helpful, facility very clean. Only drawback, no elevator (which was only an issue with luggage, but staff offered to carry bags up for us). We'd happily come back."
