"On arrival we thought we had booked the wrong hotel as it looked closed as there was a lot of fencing and debris outside the hotel. The receptionist was very welcoming and said the hotel was just opening after a period of closure and asylum residents. There was no bar or restaurant or facilities. We also paid £5 for car park as advertised but were then told we did not need to pay. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom dirty and had a leak. To be honest the hotel should not be selling rooms...

"Comfortable and quiet rooms, friendly staff and decent bar area. Handy if flying from Manchester or spotting at Southside. Cheap parking, which is a rarity these days. "

"Lovely grounds and fabulous spa facilities. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The ladies at the reservation entrance were all exceptional.
Jasmine who works at the spa did a fabulous job on sprucing up my tired hands. I felt like a Disney princess after she did her magic on my pedicure!"

"The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive."

"Nice clean room, staff were welcoming and would do anything to help, whilst they don't have dinner options, there are numerous excellent options within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious and served quickly."
"The location is excellent, however the room had a bad smell, its supposed to be non smoking, I think recent occupants ignored this rule. We had room 10 and whoever is in the room below had their TV on until gone 3am. Cleaning standards are poor... the shared bathroom and kitchen areas particularly poor. There was no toilet paper and had to request some. I would not recommend this accommodation in its current state, which is a shame as it has potential to be a decent accomodation if there was some investment and better cleaning. It is more of a hostel than a hotel and should be advertised more transparently as such.
