"This apartment is beautifully renovated in an old building in an even older village. While the village is quiet and small, it was pretty lively and the people were so friendly and welcoming. Even in the off-season (March), we were able to find great restaurants, wineries, and bars open in the local area. The only thing better than the people and the food was the extraordinarily beautiful view that took in the sea and snow-capped mountains. Highly recommend. "

"This is a lovely villa in a beautiful location. The drive up the villa is a little hairy the first time but is truely worth it for the views and the space. You can not even hear your nearest neighbours. The wine is first rate as is the olive oil. Carlo is welcoming and helpful and the villa has everything you could need plus a fabulous icemaker! "Der Aufenthalt im Bauernhaus war traumhaft schön. Um das Haus herum gibt es viele schöne Orte zum entspannen. Das Pool ist sehr groß und man hat einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Berge. Die Kommunikation lief unkompliziert und freundlich. Die Straße zum Haus hinauf ist zu Beginn eine kleine Herausforderung, aber mit ein bisschen Übung hat es gut geklappt.Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und würden wieder kommen!:)"

"We had a 14 days in a wonderful place. The house is perfect placed with a beautiful view sorrunded by fields and hills with sunflowers. The pool gave a much needed cooling off during the day and the terrace a nice view when enjoying a meal and a glass of wine in the evening. We had a lovely vacation in a nice house with all we needed. 2 familys with 4 teenagers, wifi was important and worked perfect. Kitchen and equipment was good for our group size. "We had a lovely time. The apartment was very spacious and well equipped. It is a great rural retreat, not to far from the coast and we were able to get to some very pretty towns and villages relatively quickly. This is certainly a beautiful part of Italy. Hugh was very welcoming and informative. The only downside of our stay was the viscous Mosquitos. If you are prone to being bitten you will need insect repellent on night and day."

"One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed - hotel is an old palace and the whole place is so unique. Only thing was it was a bit challenging to find the ‘front desk’ to check in (not the typical counter you expect to see at a hotel) so took us a little bit to check in etc but was such a lovely place to stay"

"Unique and wonderful! We stayed here because we wanted to see the flower fields near Casteluccio. We drove up from Rome in about 4 hours through beautiful mountains. This castle (a former defensive fortification) was a breathtaking sight at the end of the drive. We were warmly greeted by the owners, Francesco and his sister Lara. Our baggage was taken up the stairs via an amazing custom monorail. The room was comfortable and cool, the linens were excellent quality, our sleep was refreshing, and breakfast healthy and satisfying. They feature delicious bottled juices. Francesco gave us a tour of the fascinating historical interior rooms including the winemaking room with the grape stomping vats! I highly recommend Castle di Luco, we will treasure our stay here forever! "
