Top Comberton Leisure Hotel Reviews
Wilde Cambridge City Centre
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Wilde Cambridge. Large, comfortable, clean room on the quiet side of the hotel (#302). The small, ensuite kitchen is a great option if you get tired of restaurant meals. There’s also a small, well equipped gym, and laundry facilities available. The staff was professional and courteous. The hotel is in a great central location, tucked away in a quiet corner a few blocks away from all of the hustle and bustle. The Wilde also has an excellent public space, and outdoor terrace to enjoy a drink and some snacks. There’s a bus stop right outside the front door if you prefer public transit over ride sharing. There’s a quaint pub/restaurant called the Maypole around the corner that has an extensive selection of local and international beer. The Wilde is great value for the money and a nice alternative to an Airbnb."
Hilton Cambridge City Centre
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is in the centre of the city and a few minutes walk from the Cambridge Colleges and activities such as punting on the cam. The rooms were fairly basic and lacked a fridge or mini-bar. Ice dispensers in the hallways though. Good quality shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and conditioner in the bathroom. We were on the 4th (top) floor and so shower pressure wasn’t the best. There was effective air conditioning in the room during a heatwave. The breakfast buffet was excellent quality with a great range of foods available and great value. We chose the hotel because they allowed our dog to stay with us. We would stay there again."
Holiday Inn Express Cambridge West Cambourne by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Great, clean modern hotel with good amenities. Well located in quiet retail area with Cambridge 20 mins away in car, or Park and Ride 10 mins away. Friendly, helpful staff. Everything you need for a comfortable short stay including buffet breakfast, hot or cold. Only negative was the hot breakfast quality not too good (eggs, and hash browns) but enough other items were more than enough for a decent breakfast. Would highly recommend and definitely would book again."
High quality barn conversion near Cambridge to enjoy countryside & city
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely brilliant Barn Conversion, with everything you'd need. Well stocked kitchen, a choice of locations to eat, inside and out, and a great bbq set up. Extremely comfortable beds, and sitting areas, and the site oozed a real relaxed country atmosphere. The location is peaceful and rural, but still within easy reach of Cambridge (by car or even better, Park and Ride) and Ely, both cities worth visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Bull Pen for a family holiday any time of year."
Madingley Hall
10/10 Excellent
"lovely place - full of history - great value for money"
Cambridge Luxury Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely lodge with all the amenities you could need. Great location, very peaceful. Bonus that we also had access to facilities at the country club."
Heron Luxury Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"The lodge is modern, bright and well equipped It has a main bathroom and separate ensuite with a bath There is parking at the side There is a hot tub and the decking overlooks the golf course The location is mostly quiet although some road noise can be heard from the road behind but the road isn't overly busy and it didn't affect our stay There is a swimming pool, spa and wellness centre & Gym There is also a restaurant although we didn't eat in there. We did go to the Thai restaurant (Bamboo Sky) in Bourn which was very good The location is quite convenient for Cambridge which is why we chose it - about 25/30 minutes drive and there is an hourly bus service. Would highly recommend this lodge to stay and would go again An outdoor table and chairs would have been an excellent addition to the lovely decking area. There is a washing machine but no where to hang wet clothes? Also there were issues with the gate code (for everyone) getting into the separate complex for our lodges. Fortunately we always managed to get in by climbing through the hedge and operating the gate from the other side. The issue was mentioned to the staff at the reception in the main building."
Pembroke Luxury Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely luxurious lodge. Bright and airy. The view is beautiful. Great little hot tub. Would definitely stay again. The site facilities were great. The lodge although clean on the surface definitely needs a deep clean. The cooker hood was very dusty, maybe from the ongoing building works but covered in a thick layer of dust. Also the pillows have no protective covers. Unfortunately the bathroom attached to the master bedroom has a leak and the door frame and carpet badly damaged. I did flag it with the team as its only going to get worse if not sorted. Such a shame as it's s beautiful lodge. Also although there is designated swimming for family and children the golf club members were clearly unhappy at children being in the pool. They constantly made you feel uncomfortable which was off putting. Maybe they need reminding of family swim times."
