Staying in the real log cabin was great alternative to the usual motels. All attractons in Columbia, TN were easily acessable from this location.

Beautiful, peaceful stay
My family stayed at all three properties on the farm for a wedding in town and we all enjoyed our stay. My husband, stepdaughter, and I stayed in the cabin. It was perfect for three. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Perfect! Holly described details of the property & it is just as described & in the photos. We got farm fresh eggs for our breakfast & met the dogs, fed the horses. So quiet, peaceful. The only negative is when the morning comes the sun shines bright in your eyes from the large window that faces East. But aside from waking with the sun our stay was amazing

This place is a gem!
Everything was as described. It was a great getaway for my wife and I for our anniversary. The gas fireplace was great. Overall it was very cozy! I wish we were able to stay longer, but we hope to return again soon and with carrots to feed Dixie!

Not the best for elderly
We loved the setting, but as 75 year olds we had a little difficulty pulling luggage over the poorly lighted and wet road and grass and stone walkway to Cabin 1. Once inside there was no place to open a suitcase without pulling it up the stairs to a dormer ceiling. We were so cold - the little heater was inadequate and the floors were like ice. We had no instructions for turning on the fireplace. If we wanted to cook the eggs for breakfast, the stovetop was covered with a board with things on top of it. If we wanted to move the board, there was no place to set it. We would like to come back and stay in a different cabin.

Tender Tennessee Christmas
This place truly felt like a Christmas dream come true. Decorated and everything when we got there! It was perfect for the 4 of us. We opened presents by the Christmas tree with our adult children who live in Columbia and got to snuggle our brand new grand baby by the fireplace. It gave us all that Hallmark movie “warm fuzzy” journey to the past, home away from home feel. I hope our family can make the Muletown Farm a part of our history year after year!

Stunning views!
Wonderful, peaceful place to stay! Had everything and more to feel at home during our stay. Sat around the fire pit with a roaring fire and enjoyed each others company. Would love to come back to stay again!

Peace and quiet
Very peaceful atmosphere with character. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and appreciated being able to walk and enjoy the property. The cabin has everything you need plus the ac was a life saver as temps neared triple digits. It was always cool and comfortable when we returned from our hikes to all the local waterfalls within a short drive. We will definitely book again if we return to the area!

Very nice early 1800 era cabin with tons of history. Its been somewhat modernized but still feels like the old cabin it is. The surrounding grounds where nice to walk around and visit with horses, chickens and turkey

Quaint log cabin on farm
We truly enjoyed our stay on the farm. Very quaint and quiet. Just what we needed. We purchased every jar of jam they had set out and enjoyed the fire pit out front our last night. Thanks to the owners for their hospitality.

Girls getaway
4 "mamas" enjoyed the farmhouse and peaceful setting just 10min from downtown Columbia. Owner was very responsive and provided check in and "what to expect" details 2weeks prior to our arrival, so gave us plenty of time to pack and prepare for our trip. Farmhouse was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved seeing the chickens and horses on the property. So happy we got to experience this piece of history and that the owners took on this renovation challenge!

Much needed rest and relaxation!
This cabin was the cutest thing in person, it has ample space inside and my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy ourselves on our first trip without kids in 5 years! We did talk about how much the kids would have loved the farm and hope to bring them some day in the future. Thank you to our host for providing such a unique and picturesque spot away from the hustle of the city for people to relax!

Great rustic cabin
This place is awesome. I stayed in Crockett’s cabin. It’s super old and rustic, but Holly did a great job with making it comfortable. Bathroom is clean and inviting, bedding is all very nice, furniture is well maintained and nice. It’s a very comfortable stay while still having that rustic feel. I loved it.

My husband and I, our two daughters, and our golden doodle enjoyed a little getaway to this peaceful farm. Our girls really enjoyed feeding apples and carrots to the two horses. The cabin is cutely decorated and a nice place to relax and take a breath!

Gorgeous farm stay
We arrived at sunset and the sunset at the farm can’t be beat. The cabin was full of charm and sweet details. We loved the personal touch with the owners having a local guide and a book with their story. My daughter especially loves being able to interact with the animals. Our only complaint is that the tv was quite difficult and didn’t have the best signal. We would definitely come back again!!

Christmas trip with my son.
The cabin was perfect! There was a Christmas tree up and lit when we arrived. The property was beautiful as well. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the host answered all of our questions quickly and in a friendly and professional manner. I would definitely recommend staying here and plan to stay here again myself.

Wonderful farm location just outside of Columbia, TN!
My husband, 5-year old daughter, and I enjoyed our stay on the farm just outside of Columbia, TN. We felt right at home and really appreciated the access to all the amenities such as enjoying smores around the firepit during the evenings. My daughter also enjoyed interacting with the animals on the farm and swinging on the tree swing. Thank you!

It is a quaint property. Beautiful settling. Closed to Columbia which has neat downtown. The booklet in the cabin was very helpful in finding restaurant. Try Puckett's for a place to eat

Great for families!
My husband and I stayed at Crockett’s Cabin with our 4 kiddos (13, 12, 8 and 6 months) and our toy poodle and we had plenty of space! The kids absolutely loved the loft. I didn’t realize the bed downstairs was open to the living room/kitchen and that’s my fault but it was fine for the week. We loved their booklet of things to do in the area and we had one day with nothing in particular to do so we ventured 20min south to the Amish farm tour and had a fantastic time!

A little piece of Heaven
My husband and I stayed at this charming little cabin for one night prior to exploring some of the small historic towns south of Nashville. The best parts of our stay were the sunset and sunrise over a large expanse of pasture off a small country road. We were greeted by two ponies who sauntered over to our car and followed us when we took an evening stroll. The kitty was sweet as were the two Golden Doodles, one of which greeted us enthusiastically in the morning. The hosts were friendly and made us feel at home.

Great little escape spot!
Such a cool little cabin. We had a group with sisters and our mom, so we were fine in a smaller space with one bathroom. This would be ideal for a couple wanting a little escape. Take some snacks to feed the friendly horses! Beautiful spot and easy to get to outside of Columbia.

Thank you Muletown Farm for a wonderful peaceful nights stay. It ended up being just me bringing Jasper to the Pet Cemetery as we had our GranDog who had been sick for a week that my husband stayed home with along with our other two. Just what I needed! Clean, Beautiful, safe place. Loved the peace and quiet and being one with nature. Your beautiful kitty greeted me when I left early this morning and the horses also came to see me. Beautiful sunset and sunrise in the hills of Tennessee! Anybody looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway in Columbia, Tennessee go check them out.

The perfect quiet place!
This property was just what we needed. The horses are so patient, we loved your Doodles- Charlie and Lucy, a perfect fire pit, acres and acres to run, the cabin had a sweet loft bedroom that my girls loved, and tree swings were a hit. Thank you for providing a safe space to recharge.

If you're like myself and have an old fashioned sense of taste or if you are more modern but would like to experience the old fashioned experience (with modern comforts available if that's your thing) you will love this place. We really enjoyed our night here. The property is beautiful and the cabin was perfect. Their kids have products for sale in the cabin. We purchased the blackberry jam. It was amazing. I wish we could've stayed longer. But I am keeping the information for our "next trip"!

Great little cabin!
Easy check in and great little cabin. Very comfortable bed and nice AC. Farm setting is great and well kept. Only downside was there was no coffee for the maker…. Just tea, but we were up and rolling early.

Dixie's Cabin at Muletown Farm was the perfect place for my 2 year old son and I to spend some quality time together. We both enjoyed the cabin, firepit, horses, and bunny. The landscape is picturesque. Chris and Holly are down to earth. Chris suggested a nearby waterfall when I mentioned we enjoy hiking and waterfall excursions. I highly recommend Stillhouse hollow falls if you're looking for a nearby outdoor adventure. Thanks to the both of them for opening up their lovely home and hearts.

Perfect Escape
We had a fantastic time. The property is quiet, very clean and relaxing. We went with a plan to decompress, relax and just get off the grid for a few days. The horses were beautiful, sometimes even free roaming around the farm. We were greeted a few times by the pup who was so friendly! We enjoyed the quiet time, and we absolutely loved the little cabin. It was cozy and had everything we needed. We even cooked breakfast a few times and even dinner a time or two! We loved everything about it and if we can, we will visit again... maybe even bring some friends with us to rent the other cabin on the property. We give this 5 stars. If you are on the fence do it!

The sweetest little cabin
I surprised my partner with this trip for her 42nd birthday. I have never rented anything on VRBO and was a bit nervous, but I had a feeling this was the perfect place for us and boy, was it! This cabin is chic, not tiny, and oh so quiet. It's absolutely lovely and I could not have asked for more for our first weekend away together. My partner was beyond thrilled and for that reason alone, they get five stars!
