About this property

Cozy Log Cabin: Hot Tub, 360 Mountain Views, Pet Friendly

  • Restored 1940s log cabin in Cascade with 360° mountain views from every room. Swing in the hammock grove and let the dog roam.

Hot tub (temporarily down, fix in progress)
    Dog friendly
    AC (rare up here)
    Pikes Peak country
Cornhole, giant Jenga, giant Connect 4
    Bistro-lit patios + Adirondack seating
    200 Mbps Starlink WiFi
    Full kitchen + washer/dryer
5 min to Pikes Peak Highway, 15 to Manitou Springs. Built in the 1940s, packed with everything you need.

    The space
    Living Areas
A great room anchored by preserved log walls, exposed beamed ceilings, and skylights that flood the space with natural light and mountain views. Comfortable seating for the whole group to gather after a day outdoors.

    Kitchen
A full kitchen equipped for group cooking, from quick breakfasts before a hike to a proper family dinner.

Built for families, friend groups, and the dogs that come with them. This is an original 1940s Colorado log cabin, fully restored, with 360° mountain views from every room.

Three bedrooms and two full baths, all on one level. No stairs, no ladders, no surprises.
Central AC and Heat keep the cabin comfortable year-round, so you'll stay cozy without missing a beat.
Fireplace: The original fireplace is a beautiful piece of the cabin's 1940s history and serves as a decorative centerpiece rather than a working fireplace.
200 Mbps Starlink WiFi that holds up for streaming and video calls.
Full kitchen, electric grill on the patio, washer and dryer inside.
At 7,500 ft with almost no light pollution, the night sky here does something city skies can't. Step onto the patio after dark and the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye on a clear night. Bring a blanket, skip the phone, and let your eyes adjust — it's worth the wait.

    SLEEPING LAYOUT
    Bedroom 1 (Primary)
1 king bed, private deck access
    Bedroom 2
    1 queen bed
    Bedroom 3
2 twin bunk beds (4 twin beds total)
    Sleeps 8 total.

    OUTDOOR LIVING
The hot tub sits steps from the patio, tucked under towering pines — currently offline while repairs wrap up, but soon to be the best seat in the house. Soak after a hike, soak under the stars, soak just because.
The deck and patios are the heart of this place. Bistro lights strung overhead, Adirondack chairs, and a hammock grove for the slow afternoons. Cornhole and giant Jenga make it easy to linger outside after dinner.
360° mountain views from every angle. From the deck you're looking at forest and peaks, not neighbors. Expect quiet, and maybe a deer or two wandering through.
Space to roam. The yard is unfenced and open, so dogs can stretch their legs while you keep half an eye on the adventurous ones.
Trails start close by. Barr Trail and the Manitou Incline are a short drive down Ute Pass, and the Pikes Peak Highway climb is practically at your doorstep.

Cascade is a quiet mountain hamlet at the base of Pikes Peak, the kind of place with a general store, a couple of local spots, and not much else — on purpose. It's the last stop before the Pikes Peak Highway climbs to 14,115 ft. Everything you need is a short drive down Ute Pass. Everything you came for is right outside your door.

    NEARBY ADVENTURE
Manitou Springs is an old mineral-springs town at the base of Pikes Peak. 15 minutes down Ute Pass, it's got breweries, coffee shops, an arcade, and mom-and-pop restaurants lining a walkable main street. Close enough for groceries, dinner, or a lazy afternoon. Far enough away that you get real mountain quiet the second you're back up the driveway

    Guest access
You have access to the entire cabin, the deck, and the grounds around it.

    Other things to note
Roads and access: Paved roads the whole way, with a gravel driveway at the cabin. October through May, bring AWD or 4WD. Ute Pass gets real snow, and the driveway can be slick.

Cell service: Gets spotty as you approach the cabin, depending on carrier. The 200 Mbps Starlink WiFi is strong, so calls and streaming work fine once you're inside. Download offline maps before you head up.

Elevation: Around 7,500 ft. Some guests feel mild altitude effects the first day. Drink more water than you think you need and take it easy before tackling the Incline.

Fireplace: Original to the cabin and decorative only. It's survived since the 1940s, and we're preserving it, not burning in it. The forced-air heat and AC keep the cabin comfortable year-round.

1940s character: This is a genuine restored log cabin, not new construction. Expect character: original logs, a few creaks, and doorways built when people were shorter. That's exactly what you're booking.

Dogs: Welcome. The yard is open, not fenced, so keep an eye on adventurous escape artists.
