Would not recommend
The accommodation was relatively clean. However, the listing was misleading. The actual accommodation was different to the check in location, and there was no lift, despite the fact that the listing on hotels.com indicated that there was a lift. We were definitely not happy about needing to carry our 20kg suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. Also, the internet was extremely slow and at time would not work at all. Luckily we were only booked for 2 nights.

Dear Kevin, I'm really sorry for this issues. We have to diffrent locations for the apartments. The once at Domstraße without lift and the once at Eigelstein with lift. In Domstraße we have the smaller studios like you had booked and in Eigelstein the bigger apartments. Kind regards

A good location but elements were disappointing
The managers for the apartments are lovely, very helpful and friendly, but they are working with accommodation that lets them down somewhat. During our stay we had little or no wifi, which they tried to fix but it still didn't work successfully, and the hot water supply to the apartment was intermittent, meaning showers and baths were hit and miss when the water just ran cold. We raised this also during our stay but the situation did not change. For these reasons I wouldn't return, although there is much to be positive about - the location is handy for the city and the apartment is clean with all catering facilities provided perfectly. It depends how much you value wifi and hot water!

The property itself was very nice for the price, looked just like the pictures if not bigger and better. However the communication and access to the rooms completely ruined the experienced. They said we could check in till 10pm but when we got there at 9pm we got sent to a different check in and had no address of our hotel rooms so wandered around for about 20 mins before we realized they’d written a note in the packet of keys they gave us except the map print out was the wrong location. So it took us so long to find our apartments which were scattered all over the city. They also told us room 4 but gave the keys to room 8 so we didn’t even know 100% which room to try. Very bad experience and bad communication but the rooms were nice for cheap so that made it ok.

리셉션이 9시부터라고 되어있지만 10시에 오픈합니다 버스시간이나 비행기 시간에 차질 없도록 10시 이전에 체크아웃하는 방법 물어보세요

The property was basic and provided somewhere to stay fairly centrally for 2 nights at a reasonable cost. It was no frills though and had little annoyances like light bulbs not working. Also, the location was not as advertised on Expedia - Marzellenstrasse is only the Reception - the property was quite a bit further away, the other side of the main station.

Not what it seems! If you have luggage beware.
We received an email stating checkin location changed. Had to call 2x to figure out where checkin was. A man had to go outside and wave us down. My wife went and checked us in as there was no place to park anywhere. She comes back with a two phased map and says parking is a 1/4 mile away from the room. We will need to huff our luggage in the pouring rain down a main street to where the room is on the map. I thought this is ridiculous surely we can drive to the lodging location and just unload there first.. so I drove us to where the room was on the map and found that there was absolutely no parking available anywhere. So I parked in the middle of the road with the hazards on and got the family out as quick as possible while blocking traffic. Not only was this embarrassing for us (for doing something we knew was idiotic), it also agitated the people trying to go down the road we were blocking. At least my family only had to go 20 feet in the pouring rain not 1/4 mile with luggage. Post exodus I drove to the parking location marked out. I found the area (for €15.00 per night) to be behind another building, down an alleyway then in an unlit dirt pit. My first thought was honestly... You gotta be kidding me is it even safe to get out? I walked back solo in the rain to the apt. When I got there I wanted a warm shower. I turned the water on and it smelled like raw sewage!! This happened more than 2x when starting water. We have been refused a refund by hotel. Be aware!

lieber gast, beim reservieren bekommst du bereits die Information , das die Rezeption in der Marzellenstr. ist Das es am check in Tag geregnet hat ist nicht unsere Schuld . Unser Parkplatz befindet sich auch nicht in einer Grube. Unser Parkplatz befindet sich hinter einem anderen Hotel direkt am Kölner Hauptbahnhof.

Great location but finishing a bit old
Room conditions was not that great, they even put on curtain which is not the size meant for the window. Bathroom shower was not working well. But staffs are friendly and responded to my complaint about shower quite immediately via email. Location is very good, which is closed by to main train station and is where Cologne Cathedral is.

Room for improvement
Reading a number of previous reviews about the lack of information that the reception had a different address, I'd been hesitating to book this apartment. There were in fact too many emails before arrival. Two emails within half an hour the day before arrival that the address of the reception had changed, and a separate message asking me to confirm the arrival time. Another message the day of arrival asking me to confirm the arrival time. Two automated messages within two minutes that day which said thank you for having stayed there ... before I even arrived. When I got there mid afternoon, the key to the apartment was not available yet. I was thus offered an upgrade to a larger department. This was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Wifi however was pretty much non existant throughout my one-night stay. The noise level from the street outside the apartment calmed down some time after midnight. I kept the bathroom window closed over night to block out the noise and was greeted with a rather unpleasant smell coming up from the sewers in the morning. The receptionist provided good customer service but I guess her life could be made easier if other aspects improved.

Good location at a good price
The unit we rented was a good location and close to the train station. If your looking for full service and front desk this is not that. If your looking for a large room at a good price this might be a good match.

Good value - clean and comfortable
Not easy to find the reception area - then there is an additional walk to the apartment. Apartments are all walk ups with no elevator.

This apartment is clean, somewhat spacious, and we'll located. Staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there was no soap provided in the bathroom to wash my hands. Only 1 roll of toilet paper was provided for my 4 night stay.

The kitchen could have been a little bigger. The appliances were on the windowsill, so we had to move them around to use them. The taps in the bathroom and the kitchenette were either blasting out the water or they dribbled down the back.

Spacious place to stay near the centre of Cologne!
Super convenient for visiting Cologne and is super close to the central area (literally 2 minute walk) and easy to get to! ! Also, the place is quite spacious, enough for two people and a nice cozy space to make some tea or coffee!

First of all, amazing place! We had issues with our flight and the host was extremely accommodating despite our late arrival. The apartment was huge, very clean and very good looking, not to mention how great the location is. Overall we are very happy with our stay.

Really bad service.
There is no reception even though they show it on the photos. When I reached the apartment I had to call them many times. They came late to deliver the keys, while I had to stay in the rain waiting for them. They reserved 50 Euro on my card, 14 days later this money is still reserved. Bad service, not worth.

Excellent position. Large and comfortable. Bedding could be slightly improved and wifi needs attention: approx. 1mbps is not workable these days. Check-in was easy and staff very friendly. Can recommend.

The property is an apartment not a hotel. Don't be confused. It has everything you need just like a hotel though. Our unit was directly across the street from a grocery store which was awesome. You have to walk a bit from the front desk to get to your apartment which would be tough if the weather isn't perfect. I would stay again. It did take a few moments to locate our unit because of signage and not knowing our way around. Great for families too.

Zustand der ""Unterkunft" ist beinahe baufällig. Nachdem wir alle Unannehmlichkeiten des sogenannten Appartements genossen hatten, sind wir nach 1 Nacht (wir kamen erst Abends an) in ein anderes Hotel. Haben somit doppelt bezahlt für den Aufenthalt in Köln, aber der Wechsel war es 1000 Mal wert...Von den Betreibern gab es nur das vor Ort gezahlte Parkplatz-Geld erstattet, der Rest wurde hoffentlich dazu verwendet, notwendige Reparaturen im Apartment durchzuführen XD Insgesamt von meiner Seite eine klare Empfehlung die Finger von diesen Cologne Appartements zu lassen.

Ein modernes ,sehr lichtdurchflutendes Appartement mit einem tollem Ausblick über den Dächern von Köln .Wunderschöner Balkon ,läd für gemütliche Abende ein .Einrichtung ist modern und stylisch aber schon etwas abgenutzt und der ein bisschen der andere Makel ist vorhanden . Super Stadtlage ,man kann alles Fussnah erreichen .Wir würden sofort wieder kommen .

Appartamento molto grande con letto matrimoniale e divano letto molto grande ma poco confortevole. L'appartamento e un po' più lontano dall'indirizzo che appare su Hotels ma comunque in una zona residenziale con diversi supermarket e panetterie nei paraggi. Molto vicino al centro. Parcheggio 4 euro l'ora in strada ma si può ovviare parcheggiando in stazione ferroviaria con 18 euro al giorno. I proprietari molto gentili e danno informazioni precise su tutto. Colonia e molto bella
