"We booked to stay from Friday the 22nd until Sunday the 24th. However, we had to leave a night early due to unsuitability of the provided fridge for the room. We have an 8 month old and when booking did discuss needing a fridge for expressed milk feeding which they said was fine for a £30 refundable deposit. However, upon arrival the fridge was a make up fridge which only reduces the temperature by 20 degrees of the room ambient temperature which sadly was not suitable due to the room being very hot (that weekend temperatures were 28-30 degrees and there is no aircon. Therefore we couldn’t stay for the full length due to the need for feeding the baby. I did ask for some money back as a good will gesture but the checkout employee couldn’t help and the manager was not available. We would not recommend this hotel if you have a baby or if you like a cool room as there is no aircon provided in any of the rooms. Otherwise, the grounds and facilities were nice."

"Swift and smooth check-in @ 1715 on a Frday evening. Allocated room quiet, as requested. TV not working - maintenance arrived and fixed it within 5 minutes. Evening meal adequate, if not a little expensive, but guests are a captive audience. Nice to have breakfast included in the price, and a 5 minute walk to Stansted terminal."

"Great staff, large room, nice bathroom, pool great, easy to park. Breakfast OK pretty standard. Kids loved the pancake machine! More choice of eggs would be good. Booked executive family king. Beds comfy but are not king size. Expected a little more in room for going the extra cost such as coffee machine. Got a couple of chocolate bars though! Would stay again if in the area."

"Wes re a couple and stayed for one night only as we had a course in Colchester the next day. Pleasant stay, breakfast very well served, staff helpful, location very convenient. We had an accessible room just noticed the shower curtains a bit dirty but all the rest was in perfect condition. Car park is paid for 8£ per night."
