"Small double bed with very hard uncomfortable mattress. Peeling paint on bannister . Torn staircarpet. Water running all night in toilet . Broken seal on shower door . Would not recommend property for families due to staircase property just seems tired and needs attention . It did have a damp smell "
"Poor mattresses, one single power point in twin bedroom , sleeps 4 but only 3 drinking mugs & 3 forks, no kitchen knives, no outdoor furniture even though a notice told you to store it, no where to hang wet towels etc, light switch in double bedroom behind door, loose shower bracket, difficult shower controls, advertised patio is inaccurate, it is merely the shared walkway for the estate.
The location is wonderful.
Overall not worth the price.

Cosy Grade 2 listed cottage in Snowdonia
10/10 Excellent
"Cosy is the perfect description for the property! Great communication with directions and an unexpected welcome basket made arrival quick and simple so we were able to complete a 5 mile walk starting outside the property, down to the lake and looping back via the local pub (Bryn Arms) in time for an evening meal - a perfect start to our break. A morning visit to Portmeirion followed by a loop south taking in Harlech and Barmouth amongst others got us another 9 miles, ending the day with the best pub meal we've had in years at The Grapes Hotel in nearby Maentwrog. Sunday we walked several sections of the Lynn Coastal path finishing with the recommended fish and chips at Aberdaron, the lobster tails were an unexpected treat! We returned to York via Beddgelert where we extended the Grave walk to include a lovely stretch of the Snowdonia Slate Trail and enjoyed the drive back via Betws-Y-Coed.A great location to access the whole area and if you come without any plans, Debbie's recommendations will give you a varied selection to choose from.Parking was novel and I found it easier to drive in and reverse back down the lane on leaving. "I found the staff very friendly and helpful. On my first night the weather was awful and sadly the room had a few leaks. I informed the staff the next morning to make them aware. Water damage is not good. They immediately asked if my suitcase was ok and asked if I needed anything drying. They then proceeded to move me to a lovely big room, which was lovely and very spacious 😀"
Remote, family, pet friendly, stunning views, log burner, walks from the door.

"Property manager sent really good instructions to find the property before arrival and added more valuable information about the area. Communication was super easy and forthcoming. We had wonderful and relaxing days and everything was as described. We will be recommending this cottage to friends no doubt."
