The Space:
The Annex, a reverse-level annexe, consists of a first-floor kitchen with an electric oven, hob, fridge, kettle, and toaster, a first-floor living/dining room with dining seating for four, Smart TV, and double opening doors to a balcony with furniture. The bedroom is a ground-floor double, serviced by a cloakroom with a basin and WC. There is a first-floor shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is off-road parking for one car. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Guests can find a shop in 1.5 miles, and a pub in 1.4 miles. Find your perfect escape at The Annex. Note: The property has a shared entrance with the owner's house next door. Note: The double bed can only be accessed by one side. Note: The property will be decorated for Christmas. Please note that the area is used by both the annexe and the main house, although quite often the owners are away.

Great Broughton is a quaint village resting in the Cumbrian Borough of Allerdale and the civil parish of Broughton. Home to a Post Office with village store, three pubs and a Royal British Legion branch, it has all you need and more for a self-catered stay near the Lake District. Sitting amongst the River Derwent, there are plenty of scenic walking routes within the local area, with both coastal footpaths and rich terrains available all around. Head into Cockermouth to find a wider range of amenities to choose from as well as the National Trust wonder of Wordsworth House and Garden, the former home of romantic poet Wordsworth himself, here you can enjoy a tour of the Georgian townhouse and roam the riverside garden that gave William his inspiration, where you will find 18th-century varieties of vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers, as well as a welcoming flock of heritage chickens. In the town of Cockermouth, you can also find the historic ruins of its castle, beautiful Memorial Gardens and woodland gardens all worth exploring. Head to the coastal town of Workington, home to the main shopping centre for west Cumbria, it offers wonderful retail experiences as well as the Helena Thompson Museum, the impressive Workington Hall and plenty of rich history awaiting to be discovered. Enjoy a family-fun day on the golden sands of Moss Bay Beach, or choose to explore the lands of the beautiful Lake District National Park, a World Heritage Site home to the imposing mountain Scafell Pike, beautiful lakes and plenty of outdoor adventure, it's a true marvel to be seen at any time of year.
