"The hotel was great. The location was fine.The breakfast was very good and generous. What was not good in this hotel was an unbelievably miserable daytime front desk/breakfast staff person. This is not the job for her. She never smiled, never engaged and when at the front desk never greeted you or took her eyes off the computer. I thought it was us but I sat in the lobby watching her interactions with everyone who passed and there were none. She was not helpful in any way even when setting the tables at breakfast since she didn’t put cups or napkins on the tables she arranged. She was terrible and the hotel should either train her properly or get rid of her. This is the only thing that made our stay less pleasurable and sadly will be the reason I do recommend this hotel. Guests should not feel that they are not welcome or have glaring eyes cast upon them. Shameful and unpleasant!"

"Monica and Catarina are wonderful hosts. Despite numerous travel delays, they stayed late to check me in in-person, with a welcome drink. They were also gracious enough to securely store my bags for a few hours after checkout, while I explored Cascais for the day. The bed was super comfortable, but the ventilation in the bathroom could be better. The breakfast selection was excellent and there is a peekaboo ocean view from the rooftop. Their puppy, Lola, is sure to bring a smile to your face. The area is very quiet, save for a few neighborhood dogs (and a distant rooster). It’s a quick ~10 minute walk to Praia da Poça, but don’t attempt with your bags. The Uber/Bolt costs to get to & from Cascais proper are easily offset by the reasonable nightly rates. A clean, comfortable, and overall excellent stay and I would highly recommend!"

"The only thing we didn’t enjoy about our stay was the check-in experience. We arrived around 8:00 a.m. and were told our room was empty, but we still weren’t able to check in early. We ended up waiting until 4:00 p.m. Since we’ve stayed at other hotels that were able to accommodate an earlier check-in when rooms were available, we were disappointed that this wasn’t possible here. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay."

"Rooms are a bit dated but the fridge stove and microwave are great to have. Bathroom also dated and really small. The bathtub shower combo leaks, Balcony doors and balcony are lovely. Beds are extremely firm and two single beds pushed together isn’t a proper queen or king bed. Breakfast was a nice feature of the stay, but it was the same every morning. The fresh fruit was great, but there could have been more variety with the hot options of eggs and shredded ham/sausage combo that was the same everyday. Pastries were store bought and also the exact same every day. Variety would have been nice. No pastel de Natas served in Portugal for breakfast, very odd. Sushi restaurant in the hotel only open once a week. Front desk staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Really liked having the hotel arranging a driver for airport pickup and drop off. Hotel pool area was nice with the fountain and variety of loungers and umbrellas. The pool water was a bit chilly."
