Santa Rosa's Charles M. Schultz Museum, Safari West, and the Luther Burbank Home are about 45 minutes out when you want to roam farther.



Step inside Infinity Ranch to a bank of windows opening onto the wooded surroundings, with a sitting area built around a 42-inch flat screen, Nintendo Wii, and a wet bar with mini-fridge for between-tasting pours. Pull up to the four-seat dining table just off the living room, or keep it casual at the informal dining area in the kitchen — a half bath sits right by the main entry for easy in-and-out from the deck.



Cook through vacation meals in the well-equipped kitchen, where light oak cabinets meet a large skylight overhead and counter space stretches for charcuterie prep before the group heads back outside.

Rickards Winery (2.5 mi) — known for Old Vine Zinfandel — and Blue Rock Winery (2.6 mi) just beyond. For dining, 101 Thai Way (3.0 mi) and Railroad Station Bar and Grill (3.7 mi) are local favorites, and Wolf House Brewing (3.8 mi) pours handcrafted ales with pub food on a patio. Cloverdale Dog Park (3.3 mi) is a welcome stop for four-legged travelers. The tree-lined Cloverdale Plaza (3.9 mi) anchors downtown with its rotating Sculpture Trail of 30-plus outdoor works.



Getting Around:

Cloverdale is about 95 minutes from San Francisco via US-101 North — an easy freeway drive to the northern tip of Sonoma wine country. Driveway parking accommodates up to four vehicles comfortably. A car is the easiest way to explore the Alexander Valley wineries and Lake Sonoma, both just minutes away. For tasting days, plan a designated driver or book a rideshare ahead — it makes the whole day easier.



Other Things to Note:

A few things to know before you arrive. This property does not have air conditioning — the hilltop elevation, tree canopy, and ceiling fans throughout the house keep things comfortable, but summer temperatures in Cloverdale can reach the low 90s in July and August. Wi-Fi is satellite-based, which handles email and basic web browsing well but is not ideal for streaming video or large downloads. One dog is welcome with advance notice.
