This luxury mountain home is being offered for rent on VRBO for the very first time! The chateau was recently renovated with custom designs and quality touches throughout the home. Only 13 minutes from downtown Cloudcroft, with absolutely stunning back porch VIEWS, the ability to sleep 15 PEOPLE in beds, a high-end KITCHEN, a first-class MOVIE THEATER set-up and a vintage ARCADE room...the Elk Chateau was designed to be a step above anything else in the area.

Let the kids enjoy the huge basement with 12' ceilings, a custom fit leather couch, beanbag chairs and stream a movie on the 77" TV while the adults sit on the back porch in one of our brand new Adirondack or rocking chairs...soaking in the cool mountain air. It's truly difficult to describe the magic of the Elk Chateau unless you experience it on your own!

In the basement we also added a brand new SONOS SURROUND SOUND system for the ultimate movie watching experience. You can easily fit your entire group on our custom leather couch with plenty of space on the floor for sleeping bags, beanbag chairs, etc! Next to the movie room we have an ARCADE ROOM w/basketball, MS PAC-MAN, MORTAL KOMBAT and even the new TMNT ARCADE Game!

Upstairs, the LOFT is one of the nicest spaces in the whole home! It has a reading couch, a brand new FOOSBALL Table, and a foldable card table w/4 chairs for putting together puzzles or playing games. Both bedrooms upstairs are HUGE with plenty of space to play, read, or just enjoy some story telling.

All of our Bedrooms have new pillows and luxurious sheets...we skimped on nothing! Our towels are high-end Turkish Cotton that are thick and SOFT.

Our kitchen is FULLY STOCKED with everything from wine glasses to waffle makers and everything in between! We love preparing food in our family and wanted to ensure our guests had every available opportunity to make world class meals in our kitchen!

The Elk Chateau sits in the Waterfall neighborhood just 13 minutes from downtown Cloudcroft. Our driveway was recently redone so most normal vehicles (not a Corvette!) will make it in just fine in the summer months. Like nearly all mountain homes in the area, you will need 4WD and snow tires when the snow starts to fall!

What makes staying with us different? You will be interacting DIRECTLY WITH US during your entire stay. We are not a large property management company. We are a family dedicated to providing you with unmatched customer service! Any and all questions or issues that arrive, we will PERSONALLY HANDLE for you.

Can’t figure out how something works? We will PERSONALLY work through it together!

**IMPORTANT NOTES**
- Our driveway is gravel, not paved.
- There is a sharp 180 degree turn to enter the driveway above the home. If you have a large wheelbase vehicle (Full Size Truck or SUV), you will likely need to make a multi-point turn to complete it. It can be intimidating if you aren't familiar with mountain driving.
- NO TRAILERS of any kind are allowed on the property due to the sharp turn at the top of the driveway. Trailers also risk damaging our storm weather culvert at the top which is needed to keep the driveway safe.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. What Linens are included? – We provide linens for beds, bath towels, hand towels, makeup towels, and wash cloths.

2. What household supplies are provided? – We provide you with one set of travel size shampoo/conditioner and body wash per full bathroom. Toilet paper and hand soap are also provided. Additionally, we’ll also provide you with paper towels, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, trash bags, and laundry pods. Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to purchase additional items when the initial supply runs out.

3. What does the kitchen include? –The kitchen is stocked with everything you would expect in a normal kitchen plus a toaster, waffle maker, crock-pot, blender, various size pots & pans, a teapot, and a regular coffee pot. We provide a starter bag of coffee from the local coffee shop. BRING YOUR OWN COFFEE if you want more than the starter bag!

4. Do you provide any baby items? –We provide a high chair, Pack-N-Play, and kids place settings.

5. Do you provide a grill? – Yes. There is a pellet grill outside. BRING YOUR OWN PELLETS!

6. Do you provide fire wood? – Not really. We had too many issues with guests injuring themselves with the ax and chopping down trees on the property. We do, however, have some firewood stacked in our shed that you are welcome too (but we can't provide the ax for liability purposes!). You are also more than welcome to bring your own firewood or buy some downtown!

7. What time is check-in and check-out? – You may check in any time after 4:00 PM and you must checkout prior to 10:00 AM on the day of your departure.

8. Is this cabin secluded? – Mostly yes. You will not have neighbors on top of you right next door, but you may be able to see 1 or 2 other homes through the trees.

9. What TV package / channels do you provide? – We provide a Smart TV w/high speed internet. No cable package.

10. What type of internet to you provide? – We provide unlimited high speed internet with Wi-Fi.

11. How many parking spaces are there? - We have parking in front of the cabin for 2 vehicles. There is additional parking at the top of the circular driveway for another 3 vehicles.

12. How is cell phone service? – Terrible! :) You will unlikely have any cell service in the area. You can make calls with your phone using our high speed Wi-Fi inside the home.

13. Are there animals in the area? - Yes! We get nearly daily visits from all sorts of animals...mostly deer, elk, squirrels, birds, etc. We have not personally seen any bear or bobcats at the property, but they are around the mountain.
