"I wish I could give Colivault 10 stars. This place and the owner, Richard, are absolute treasures. We had the small house for 3 of us and it was perfect. Breakfast was amazing and even served out in garden on our second morning. The accommodations are absolutely spotless and every little small detail is perfect. The finishings are all high end. I would not hesitate to come back."

"The property was just what we wanted for our family (14 of us). It had everything you would want for a wonderful stay. The photos of the property sold it to us but when we arrived the property was even more spacious than the photos shown. The host was fantastic, we were welcomed and well looked after during the week. Check out was the same. The pool was great and the grandchildren loved all the outside and inside games. The eating areas and bbq and pizza ovens were great. We ate outside every day. Most of all, we loved the bikes and regularly cycled round the nearby villages. The must see places around that area were Blois and Amboise. Fantastic holiday, would definitely go again."

"We stayed 2 nights, mom and teen daughter. Stayed in a queen cabin. First the goods - the air conditioning on our cabin was exceptional and bed super comfy. We slept well in the heat. The staff are ALL very friendly and helpful. Pool was perfect temperature for a dip in the heat. They had poolside drink service too. Honestly, I can’t say enough about the very good and friendly service. Location is fantastic, very close to Blois. You need a car Points to consider - the wifi in our cabin was practically non-existent. If you have to work here, plan to rely on cell service. As others have mentioned, the shower is poorly designed and if you aren’t very careful, water will stream everywhere. I noticed the floor is warped in several places and I expect it’s from sitting water from shower. Breakfast was not excellent. Reminded me more of a Holiday Inn Express than a beautiful French countryside hotel. Maybe my expectations were too high. We ate at the restaurant one evening. We enjoyed it, staff very accommodating."

"We stay 2 nights to visit all the chateaux de la Loire around. Great location, quiet and very nice room and bedding. New auberge. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Great homemade breakfast. Just one thing, no air conditioning and it was the heatwave week in France 35/40! But we managed to stay cool. I would recommend and go back."
