"Although the pool was listed as an amenity, it was not available. Should have been noted on the website. No fresh water fountains in operating order. Pretty bad if utilizing gym.No foot bands on functional trainer. Had plenty of hot water in coffee area but NO TEA??? Could understand being out of orange juice for one breakfast but all four nights of our stay?? The Mrs. Requested an extra towel but was refused!! Really?! Staff were the high point. Can’t see us considering The Best Western on future trips."

"Parking was perfect, room & bed was clean & comfortable, sealing was peeling in many spots, received a twxt to rate before breakfast & gave a 5 but I'm taking it back, no attendant available, ring the bell twice, coffee was not hot, waffle but nothing to eat it with, no syrup, no butter, no options of hot water for tea which was ok, no milk for cereal, about 30 mins passes & attendant came from outside, no greetings of good morning, breakfast was a sad sore Not even a good cup of coffee & I'm not even a coffee drinker but no other option available "

"One star because yes it is a clean hotel. I would not suggest staying more than 1 night and I wouldnt consider it kid friendly. Both neighbors were up partying, screaming, and yelling at each other until 3am. Yes it was a Saturday night, so have fun, but when there are people screaming outside your door and hitting the door everytime they walk by.... you would think the staff (4 feet away) would take care of it. At one point of the night, there were groups of people sitting in their cars with doors open, blasting music and later, grown men yelling and fighting in the parking lot. All the noise continued until 5/6am. Also, they make it very clear you will be charged $100 fine if you smoke in the room.... went to the bathroom, cigarette smoke was rolling out the vent from a nearby room, we had to keep the bathroom door closed throughtout the stay. Like I said, clean, but there isn't any standards on how customers should behave after 12am. "

"This was one of the best lodging experiences I've ever had hands down! The biggest plus and amazement is something that doesn't usually happen. I checked out in a hurry to get back on the road. Even after checking the room over before leaving, I neglected to check under the bed covers. I left my Kindle under the covers. At my next destination I called the hotel and told them what stupid mistake I made. Instead of a staff member claiming my Kindle, it was returned to the front desk. The hotel manager offered to ship it to my home address. The day after my return home, UPS showed up in my driveway with the Kindle. This behavior is unheard of these days. This was one of the best things I've experienced in a very long time. Thank You Holiday Inn Express Latta SC! "
