"Could do with air con as it was extremely hot in the room and fan isn’t enough"

"The food can only be classed as average at best. The carpet in the room is thread bare and poorly hoovered. My room was tiny with the bed being no more than two feet from the bathroom door. The bathroom was so small the only way you could access the toilet was to stand in the shower as soon as you opened the door, so you could then close it to gain access to the toilet. The constant standing on the shower tray to shut the toilet door has caused the shower tray to crack and leak water on to the bathroom floor plus the drain in the shower was very slow to empty. You could smell there was a drain issue walking down the corridor to the room."

"When I arrived, there was no one at reception and I had to wait quite some time before a staff member returned to check me in. I was also disappointed to find that the health club had already closed upon my arrival at 8:15pm, despite the website stating it closes at 9pm. Later that evening, at around 10:30pm, the same staff member entered my room without knocking while I was in the bathroom. When I asked what they wanted, they asked for my name and then stated that the room was supposed to be empty. I explained that there had clearly been a mistake, as they had personally checked me in earlier. They then left without apologising. I found the situation quite strange and raised it with the staff member on duty the following morning, but they appeared completely uninterested. Room and whole hotel in general is pretty dated and not particularly clean. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it unfortunately!"

"All staff I encountered were pleasant, helpful, and approachable throughout my stay. A dip in the hotel pool was extremely welcome during the current heatwave. I found it very relaxing, with plenty of room for swimming. The room itself was pleasant and spacious; however, I was disappointed that there was no air conditioning, although a fan was provided in the wardrobe. There were also no plug sockets near the bed and no USB or USB-C charging outlets in the room, which is something most hotels now tend to offer. Unfortunately, I found the bed extremely uncomfortable, which resulted in a couple of disturbed nights’ sleep."
